“We’ve had some injuries and a new system to adapt to, but I believe in this group.”

”Look, trades are hard to make in this league. I’m trying to make this team better every day.”

While I respect the guy for not making a completely lopsided trade for some washed veteran like Kadri…if he doesn’t make a move by Xmas, he’s going to lose his job when the Sabres miss the playoffs.  His time is ticking.

Not sure I can catch the news conference tomorrow.  Can somebody let me know how often Adams will say the word “conversations”?  I fully expect him to say that he’s had numerous “conversations” with other teams looking to improve the team….the question I wonder is how many times he will say it tomorrow.

Dahlin, Thompson and 3 firsts to Edmonton for McDavid.

Not good enough to make this team a serious contender.  You get McDavid, but you open up even more holes.

I agree- minus the word "promotion". Don't think they'll be saying that tomorrow.

It makes no sense for Adams to make a conference with media before a practice on a Friday to discuss that the team sucks. They hired Lindy to do that and he actually does a pretty solid job of detailing issues in their games and how they will improve.

Im guessing he'll say hes stepping down, Karmanos will take over in the meantime, he'll stay on as advisor for Pegula's and to help out and the "promotion" text will come in a few months that Adams no longer just helping out but taking up a promoted higher management role.

Adams being repurposed in any way is an organizational failure.

Kick rocks. Move back to Raleigh, or where ever. Be done here. Fill the FO with dozens of people who have all worked together before with some success and have never ever met Terry Pegula before.

That's the key to this whole debacle.  He has so little trust of anyone outside his circle.  Seems like yesterday everyone here was clamoring over this bright and shiny new owner that was willing to spend money and bring "multiple cups" to Buffalo.  Little did we know how toxic he is.

They're picking up Trouba, aren't they?

He couldn't be worse than Dahlin,Power, Byram, Joki, Clifton, Bryson, Gilbert, and how could I forget the Muel

1 - Young team

2 - Growing pains

3 - Injuries

4 - Terry is committed as ever

5 - Trades take two to tango

6 - Always looking to improve team

Blah blah blah blah….

Yes.... started with.... " I understand the frustration.. no one is more frustrated then myself and the team... but we are on the right path and I believe in this group, our performance has been unacceptable, and was Sabres we hold oursleves to a much higher standard... we will get this right...." then into what you said...  then him and the media will sing Kumbaya and we will go lose to an expansion team....

Mike H. said he requested it on Wed. I'm guessing after practice was canceled and media access closed off. A power play by Mike. So it did kind of come out of nowhere.

Lance goes to great lengths to defend the organization. Just listen today and compare to Mike. Lance will surely cherry pick some positives from this season and ask Kevyn about them. Book it.

Will the networks break into regular programming to carry this live?

Good question.

Where can we watch or listen to this?

I'm not so sure I'd like that. I think his play has dipped quite a bit the last 2 years. Not sue why.

But...while I am not a big believer in advanced stats, there are a lot out there showing he's playing like a typical 3rd pair guy..and the Rangers don't seem to want him around.  Where there is smoke.....

On the other side of it...its $8m per year but only for this year and next. If there is something that happened where he simply is not what he was (likely but maybe you can get something out of him), its Terry's money, not ours....and its not going to cause issues for years and years and years.

He's still a decent skater and he hits, he could be a partner for one of the sabres big-young-top 3.

I can be sold on him here, but in no way do I think he is any kind of savior and my expectations would be limited.

I read Lance's tweets.  He is extremely defensive, the sign of someone that knows he is marginal.
