I don’t think he “got out of the way”.

He hired a tandem and always gets outvoted on football topics because of it.
 

He hired Rex Ryan against his GM’s wishes. Then fired him without consulting him.

Terry picks sides and always has as an owner. The Bills absolutely cannot move on from McBeane under any circumstances. None. Or we’ll see the same exact results as the Sabres.

Unless big oil is involved ($$$$) Terry Pegulas leadership style is basically 86-leadership and 100% a popularity contest. 

Because there is no line for whose in charge of who one person (coach) brings an idea to Terry and another person (gm) brings another idea, and it requires Terry not to just split the difference but subvert any power structure which muddies internal relationships.

I would not adams is utterly incompetent if he is allowing Pegula to make these inane player moves and build the team with him as a figure head and doesn't quit he is complicit and even more incompetent than I could ever imagine. Pegula is a huge problem enabling him is a bigger one. No one in the history of employment has ever been worse at their chosen job then adams is at his... period . His tea. Just blew a 4-0 lead to a .500 team at home after losing 3 in a row ... they are atrocious and an embarrassment to themselves their families and any one who ever went to work and did a job.
