It was a big mistake and I hated it when it happened. Scandella wasn't a good enough player to justify it in any way shape or form. 

If Marcus was still here I'd have named him captain without question.

When the Sabres moved on from Carrier, Des, and Marcus, it created a void that has yet to be filled.

Fast forward 20 years Marcus' first game I am there and he scores... and I am like holy crap thats the baby I held in the Pizza hut LOL...  Oh and then he did the Foligno jump for his Dad.

I loved Mike Foligno as a Sabre!   Probably would be on my Sabres Mt. Rushmore.

I don't feel like we need less Quinns, we just need a healthy Quinn from years' past.  We need scoring, and I don't trust Greenway's gonna give us much of that.

And I'm not saying we don't also need Greenway back - to me he's a very good option on 3rd / 4th line.
