Believer Posted November 29 Report Posted November 29 Damn Got outplayed in OT. Too friggin “patient.” Canucks, like the Wild, wanted it more than we did, in our own building, no less. Instead of sending our fans home with a win, we send them home with a loss. There is no redemption in losing. Ruff owns this loss. He didn’t get them motivated to play to win until the 3rd period. Then reverts to his “patient” game in OT. We didn’t even touch the puck until OT was half over. Didnt aggressively go after the puck. Stood around in reactive mode. 1 1 Quote

Offending team can’t enter the zone until change of possession. It would be very quick and simple. This stuff we are seeing now is boring AF. 2 Quote

Even better, you intentionally skate or drop the puck back out of the offensive zone…two minute penalty. Quote

It’s a total bummer but i’d still rank this as a good “loser” point. This team last year would not have come back, and lost in regulation. so at least they got 1. The core of this club still has problems protecting their home ice. For years they don’t win enough at home to be a serious threat to make the playoffs. 1 Quote
#freejame Posted November 29 Report Posted November 29 Until this team treats every game like it’s life or death they are going to continue to sputter. Every game needs to be game 7. It doesn’t matter if you’re burned out in the playoffs unless you make the playoffs first. It’s really not asking for much of anything. 1 1 Quote

thewookie1 Posted November 29 Report Posted November 29 Angry at the loss, happy at the comeback and a point But my God we have so many bad bounces as well as a putrid powerplay again Quote

ska-T Palmtown Posted November 29 Report Posted November 29 Maybe I was Idemo in some sort of fever dream? All the whiney crap about "no effort" ,etc etc etc - the Sabres were one failed to lift backhand from Tage away from the extra point ... oh well. Before the morality police show up - I am not gate-keeping anyone's reactions; merely commenting on how this team has everyone's emotions going all over the place like a yo-yo. Sheesh. 1 Quote

The Sabres were down 2-1 with over 12 mins to play and people were calling the game "over" - getting a point from an OT loss is not in any realm the same as the game being over at 2-1. C'mon. I mean. Come. On. Edited November 29 by ska-T Chitown Quote

... Posted November 29 Report Posted November 29 Their PP is super flaccid. Lots of utterly stupid attempts to pass to the middle. Over and over again. Who drafts these things up? There are 31 other teams to watch and get ideas from. 1 3 Quote

I lost track of my original b1tch about people calling it a "loss" and in my mind switched to them calling "over" - which I think is more accurately what people were doing. I guess the abject negativity got me feeling a little feisty? PS - no fair actually reading my other posts! Edited November 29 by ska-T Chitown Quote

LabattBlue Posted November 29 Report Posted November 29 It is a joke that some fans used the words happy/great after the last two games. Only one word is acceptable…SELL!! 😡😡😡 2 1 Quote

SwampD Posted November 29 Report Posted November 29 So, Quinn touches the puck before the goal line and the linesmen calls icing. Un(totally)believable. I'm not a fan of Tage. I think he's a paper tiger and a one trick pony and we'll never win anything with him as our #1 C. If he doesn't learn from this game, we're screwed. It's the NHL, you can't do the same thing over an over and expect a different result,… you can't even expect the same result, ffs. Defenders learn. They know you are taking the slapper. He sees the defender sliding to the ice and still fires the puck into him, ending up in a breakaway that ends up in our net. How about pulling up short, going around the floundering guy on the ice, draw a bunch of guys to you, then making a pass to someone wide open. 0-2 since his return. I know it's been against tougher competition. I don't care. Still glad we got a point. 1 Quote
