triumph_communes Posted November 29 Report Posted November 29 Fought back and earned a point. If they wanted two they should’ve scored on one of the power plays Quote
Billznut Posted November 29 Report Posted November 29 I guess in the old days you’d call that a good point by coming back late to tie. Doesn’t feel so good today. Sabres let too many getable points just drift away. 1 1 Quote
ExWNYer Posted November 29 Report Posted November 29 Deflating finish after getting it tied in regulation. They got the point but it was less than satisfying. FWIW, Vancouver is now 9-2 on the road this year. Quote

Wyldnwoody44 Posted November 29 Report Posted November 29 That power play is garbage, that cannot continue. Still a disappointing game, and I'm still not letting Cozens off the hook. Let's see you play like that all the time son. 3 on 3 is not real hockey, the league should be ashamed of themselves.  Quote

Pimlach Posted November 29 Report Posted November 29 Quinn Hughes by far the best player in that OT.  He dominated.   I can’t recall the Sabres getting so little puck possession time in an OT.  We had one chance but mostly they floated.   We get 1 point. I’m disappointed in their play  today.  Not enough effort, no finish. 1 1 Quote

I dislike KA as much as the next guy, but those players do not come cheap, if at all. 1 1 Quote

If that term didn’t exist I would have referred to today as the day after thanksgiving.  Honestly this is a strange response.  Nowhere in my post did I discuss reasons for Black Friday.  Do you argue politics on the internet? This is like internet arguing 101.  Take a small snippet of someone’s post, change the entire topic of the discussion to validate some other thing that the OP wasn’t even suggesting.   5 hours ago, Pimlach said: Wow, major over-reaction. Your question is "why was the 3:00 start time advantageous to people on Black Friday".  Why does the NHL schedule any day time games? Usually to get more young kids into the arena. They tend to do it when school is out and when parents are home. The Friday after Thanksgiving fits.  The NFL also has no problem scheduling an afternoon game on Black Friday either.  I don't think the Black Friday crowds are such a big deal anymore because there is so much more internet shopping today than back when Black Friday was created, so there is less physical participation, less lines, less traffic. Which gets to the part of my response which may be off topic to you, that Black Friday is not anything special. It is merely the day after Thanksgiving. You wanted it explained to you as a child, but what you seem to be seeking is a high level of precision in the response.  I do hope this is helpful.  Have a nice day.   Let me rephrase my question.  Maybe more of a statement.  I want to binge drink and smoke snoop dog levels of weed whilst consuming the Buffalo NHL product, as is my tradition.  For the second time is nearly in a month, the NHL has scheduled a day game on days where people traditionally do *****. Today I spent 4 hours hanging Christmas lights.   I have a 10 year old and a wife that can’t tie her own shoes. I need to be half conscious while they are milling about before night fall in case someone farts in this house and doesn’t know how to handle it.   So the NHL scheduling games at 3pm is a problem for me.  I can’t ***** stand it.  20-30 something inky loved him some afternoon hockey.  Be blackout drunk at 6 pm sign me up.  Unfortunately, that’s not the case anymore so these day games ***** me up. Quote

I’m ready to see him going somewhere else, if a deal can be made somehow. 1 Quote
