They changed Tuch's goal to unassisted. How in the hell is that possible?

Looks like Krebs didn’t hit the puck, I think he hit Gibson’s stick which propelled it in

Feeling good that another of my favourite prospects (not drafted in top 10)  looks like he has a real chance to hit

My track record over the years:

Hit - JJP

looks good - Kulich

jury still out - Poltapov

I was really wrong - Justin Bailey

Yes 👍.
McLeod to center Cozens & Benson.  Allowing you to keep Kulich, Quinn and Zucker together

Yes.  We scored 5he last 3 in the game.  I think the two fights did help wake them up.

We are tied with Boston for 8th, and we have a game in hand.

Correlation does not... yada yada.

Fighting after a clean hit is an abomination in the game.

I'll write more tomorrow (today) but all the Sabres have done is give themselves a chance to do something special. That points percentage is nothing to celebrate and not close to where they have to be.

Just watched the game recap video. Looked like a solid comeback win.  I haven’t watched either West Coast game, can anyone if they have tightened up defensively or is it poor execution by the opponents?

I thought he played one of his best games.

Agreed...didnt check violently but was forceful in the corners and used his strength, which I was beginning to wonder if he had, to pin guys against the boards..

Owen Power leads all defensemen in the NHL in even strength points. He's got 15 and Makar has 14.

but how many giveaways in the corners and not moving guys out of front of the net...

I watched the recaps of both games and the first period of last night's game. What I have observed that is a common thread in the last number of games is that there is a greater consistency in responsible two-way play throughout. Even when the team is down, there appears to be a belief that if the players stick to their "principles/basics" that it will eventually work out in their favor.

In the recent games, and especially noticed on this west coast trip, is that the play is consistently tighter both ways. It's less freewheeling offensively but is a tougher style of NHL play. No question it is less entertaining because the offense is stifled but the results W/L record will be better.

This is the Lindy effect. Coaching matters.
