Again, we can’t forget what Zucker did to help this team tonight. Burying that breakaway to tie it up late in the second. So huge.

Professional man.

I went back and rewatched that play.   Dan said it was Kulich but it was actually Jokiharju.   #10 not #20

I'm a big Kulich guy l, so wanted to set the record straight. No one out-muscles Kulich !

Yeah I knew it was Joker.

Tooch was a ***** man on the game winner.

He won them the game.

and,… maybe the fights did do something.

If he asserts himself like that more often…he’s got all the tools. Shot accuracy could be tightened up a bit although I think he’s trying for the perfect shot versus actually being inaccurate.

Great win, I'm still in awe how we won this since they looked pretty much out muscled and out played most of the game but kudos to them and hell of a game by UPL.

Gut check. They earned those two points more than they deserved them. Build on this, please.

3 assists for Power.

and just turned 22?  I don't know but maybe they should keep him around.  Leads the league in points 5v5 by Dmen too

The "but he doesn't hit anyone" argument is gonna look pretty silly soon

Benson dropping the mitts was a boost.

Honestly it was a tipping point for me. I’ve been holding out on Benson love but his play today was future captain stuff.  Like not all that far away.

Also McLeod was absolutely dominant in the faceoff department. Both additions have been huge for us imo.

Zellweger tried the aggressive play and got plowed over by Tuch.

Tuch made a great play on the rebound after Gibson robbed Power and Kulich cashed in the change.

I think it was Joe DiBiasi that said Tuch had the best stick in the league. I don't watch enough games outside of the Sabres to know for sure, but he's gotta be one of the best.

I'd say he's at minimum Top 5 in the league and I watch a good deal of hockey. What allows him to be so effective is that he can get away with some degree of hooks and grabs because he always is moving his feet as well as keen hand eye coordination. He's a legit menace in takeaways.

Zucker has again shown he has a bit left in the tank 🙂

I’m so much happier when the Sabres win. Has anyone else noticed a similar correlation?

Dan mentioned “good puck possession by Benson, as always” late. Accurate comment. Kid is so good. Just does every little right consistently.

Who actually is a big problem for them right now.   Can hardly have him on the ice.    Not the right discussion for it but I offer Columbus a 1st for Provorov tomorrow to replace him as my top RHD

I thought it was a pretty even game for the most part. Anaheim had the better play early, Sabres started playing better towards the end of the second and into the third.

Good teams find ways to win when they aren't at their best...we might be trending in that direction.

Big win in a game they would absolutely collapse last year.

hats off to Clifton and Benson, team showing team toughness.

Liked Krebs a lot tonight.

Zucker has been a great pickup so far.

Lindy has them playing a lot better defensively. Overall the structure is greatly improved.

UPL is a number 1.

Power really coming on of late. I really like the idea of one or two of Dahlin, Byram and Power being on the ice most of the night.

No letdown tomorrow. Got to sweep the trip. Pens lost tonight.

Not gonna lie...when I read that I immediately had a vision of some Zach on Casey crime. 😁
