Remember when some thought Buying out Jeff Skinner was a bad idea?

"Decision to healthy scratch Oilers' Jeff Skinner a long time coming

You could feel it coming — almost hear it — like a train in the distance, the decision to healthy scratch one of Jeff Jackson’s big free agent signings this past summer. As inevitable as Christmas or New Year's Day, Jeff Skinner’s seat in the Anaheim press box on Sunday had been waiting for him for weeks now."

Sounds like he lost his love for the game again.

After the coach when asked what Skinner could do to earn more ice team said "Play good hockey", he is now being healthy scratched for Derek Ryan, which marks the first time a healthy scratch has occured to a player under this coach...

Skinner appears to be done-zo with the Oilers.

First Buffalo and now Edmonton.  His career seems to be "between two stalls".

I will never comprehend those who actually watched the guy play and then rued his departure this past offseason.

Even when he was ostensibly effective, he was an obstacle to progress. Skinner as a LW1 is akin to “[hand up] we’re not a serious hockey team.”
