This certainly doesn't match reality at all. Not only did Republicans control both the House and Senate, but they nearly universally worked with Trump. One exception I can think of, thanks to Susan Collins, Lisa Murkowski, and John McCain voting no, was not allowing Trump to dismantle the Affordable Care Act without something to replace it.

Democrats regained the House during the midterms, but Republicans maintained control of the Senate throughout Trump's term.

Thank you for correcting me on that. A quick Google search would have told me that the house and senate were red in 18, my bad.

As I think project 2025 is awful and would set the country backward, and that tariffs would destroy this country, and that I don’t hate gays and women and ethnicities, hope they do nothing.

I don't know anything about tariffs. If you (or anyone else) wouldn't mind indulging me, why are they a bad thing?

Thanks in advance...

If you (generic “you”) think the economy is bad now (it’s not) and inflation is out of control, just wait until companies would have to pass along their tariff costs to consumers. No amount of whatever relief we would get for lower federal taxes is going to make that up. And the rich can afford to pay more for stuff. Everyone else suffers. We’d be right back to the robber baron days which someone else already mentioned.

Tariff costs almost always get passed on to the customer.  They tend to contribute to inflation.

There’s no shortage of info about tariffs and the harm they do to economies. Trumps plan has been universally condemned by leading economists both here and around the world. Here’s a little article for your consumption:

Thank you all. I'm not trying to argue FOR tariffs, or say they are a good thing. I'm ignorant about them and would like to be a little less ignorant.

Maybe I am misinterpreting, but you seem to have gone into the ballot box with the idea the interest rates and inflation were the faults of Biden’s polices.  I think if there is one thing you can say Biden did well on, it was listening to the experts and staying out of their way.

He said he didn't vote for Trump. So That's good.

I wasn’t trying to suggest anything other than it’s a little late for this election to be asking those kind of questions.

Better than never asking them.

True, but if interest rates and inflation are your significant motivators for who you favor, asking in October would have been the play.

Nancy Pelosi trying to ‘tank’ Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s

House Oversight Committee bid: Report

by Victor Nava

Former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) has reportedly launched a behind-the-scenes effort to thwart Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s (D-NY) bid to serve as the top Democrat on the House Oversight Committee. Pelosi, 84, would rather see Rep. Gerry Connolly (D-Va.) serve as ranking member on the high-profile panel and is “actively working to tank” the 35-year-old New York Democrat’s bid, according to Punchbowl News. The former House speaker has been “making calls” urging Democrats to support Connolly, 74, over Ocasio-Cortez, the outlet reported on Thursday.

Bad day for Liz Cheney.

Can you add context to that?  A link to whatever you read or saw that sparked your comment on here would assist others in confirming what you are referring to.

Thanks.

Yeah I had to dig a bit at first, but it’s out there now as headline news.  Accusations that Cheney did some witness tampering and our new President elect smells blood and is calling for an FBI investigation.

Witness tampering. Yeah right. Every witness was a republican and now, NOW, they claim tampering? Meanwhile the rest of the country goes to crap as Cheeto man and his fascist loyalists ignore the big picture as they seek retribution against those who actually have respect for our Constitution and the rule of law.

Banana republic time again.

Well, that's one possibility.  However, what if there was tampering?  Evidence does come to light at different times, sometimes much later.  It's not like politicians serving both Democrat and Republican needs don't lie straight to our faces and get involved in illegal activities in order to further their agendas.

DISCLAIMER: I am not a fan of Donald Trump.
