zow2 Posted November 17 Report Posted November 17 The Sabres hands and puck skill around the Flyers net tonight is disgraceful. Not NHL quality whatsoever. Quote

Pimlach Posted November 17 Report Posted November 17 Thompson, UPL, and Greenway are missed but this is a completely terrible showing. No leadership. Makes me think the real leaders are the ones injured. This is the 18th game. They remain on the lower boundary of a fringe team. 1 1 Quote
SABRES 0311 Posted November 17 Report Posted November 17 2 minutes ago, Pimlach said: Relax. Benson and the other guy are the same age and they know each other and they are competing. Konecney did a normal thing and protected a teammate. He probably understands what’s going on. It was nothing. It was a penalty on one of our more consistently engaged forwards. If someone did that to a Sabre after a goal this board would be up in arms and rightfully so. It didn’t send a message or motivate the team to do anything meaningful. Quote
DarthEbriate Posted November 17 Report Posted November 17 Well, time to head off to a friend's birthday party. She's doing a prom-themed birthday... but... we're not... young... likesay, we remember the original trilogy. Anyway, I may have to dress up, but it gets me clear of Sabres hockey. Do you think the Sabres will attempt to collectively "send a message" in the third period? Like a Torts-team would? (I don't.) Quote
Sidc3000 Posted November 17 Report Posted November 17 (edited) It’s sad that games like this doesn’t make me angry anymore. I guess that’s good for my health 😂 Edited November 17 by Sidc3000 1 Quote
Carmel Corn Posted November 17 Report Posted November 17 So if the Sabres get completely smoked, obliterated, etc......does this bode well for the Bills tomorrow (or not)? Quote

Nah, the Sabres have lost a lot and the Bills have won a lot over the last 7 years. The Sabres, thanks to their relentless on-going ineptitude, have little impact on anything or anyone. Quote
Carmel Corn Posted November 17 Report Posted November 17 Dahlin almost had an assist there.......for the Flyers Quote

Slack_in_MA Posted November 17 Report Posted November 17 Games like this are an indictment of leadership. I'm sorry, Rasmus Dahlin is a fine and talented player, but I have a sneaking suspicion he isn't much of a locker room leader. 1 2 Quote
Believer Posted November 17 Report Posted November 17 Ruff should assign his two useless bench assistants to go through tonight’s message board posts. Print 25 of the most critical posts on paper, make copies for each player who was on the ice tonight, and ask them if they are an embarrassment to their fans. 2 Quote

mjd1001 Posted November 17 Report Posted November 17 (edited) This game just reinforces that the only two potential difference makers on this team seem to be Tage and UPL... And that's when UPL isn't having a bad game. Levi isn't ready. It's not just tonight's game but he hasn't made many good saves all year. I'm trying to hold on to the hope that Cozens is just very streaky, but he doesn't seem to be any kind of a difference maker at all for what he's getting paid. It's hard to comprehend how him and Tage could be getting paid basically the same thing. Edited November 17 by mjd1001 2 Quote
