He is still the ONLY true physical defensive dman this team has. The rest are a bunch of defenseless stick checkers that are afraid of body contact. Not my fault KA did not bring in someone better. Gilbert needs to be played! Hell they let Quinn play and he has been worthless. Cozens cost us a goal and he is still playing.

Nice. I’ve been hoping to see that Cozens line back together again to see if they can reignite their chemistry. I’ve also wanted to see Krebs center some better offensive talent.

These are correct:  ESPN+ or Hulu.  So no change for us out of market folks.  The odd thing is it usually lists how to watch on the NHL Gamecenter page for the game, but there's nothing for tonight's game.

IMO, what I think we are seeing with Cozens, etc, that leads to some of the “we thought this would be easy!” type comments, is touched on with the bit I bolded in your post above:

I don’t think anyone in the organization (aside from the fans, of course) claims the Drought. “Constantly” isn’t much of an issue to be reckoned with for this crew, players up to GM, because they don’t feel amendable to what the franchise subjected the fans to before they got here. Where as, for us, “constantly” is informed by the entire time period 

Not passing judgment on whether that is right, or wrong, but signing up for a long form rebuild on the edge of missing the playoffs 9 straight years provides solid evidence of it, to me. They didn’t seem to care about or factor in fan apathy: imo, again, to their detriment. For a lot of these players, it’s simply a matter of “not my problem”.

The fans feel disenfranchised, I’d imagine the players do, too. Isn’t that why they stopped saluting the fans after games last year? They are, seemingly by choice, not amendable to the suffering of the fan base.

They aren’t “constantly” screwing up because this is the first year any sort of expectation was levelled on them, and hell, they just won 3 games, no?

Back from Vermont trip, was going to go to this one but the wife hinted I'd get full time vacation service tonight since the kids won't be home.  I opted for TV tonight, but if they can time their scoring with my evenings events, well I'll consider it a good omen. Sabres score 5, hopefully I can keep up, the wife likes the renewed optimism at least.

So however you usually watch the game still works? I thought exclusively on ESPN or Hulu meant just that... you have to have one or the other.

On Hulu, the game is shown on the ESPN+ stream.  If you have ESPN+ and not Hulu, that also works, but you must be authorized for ESPN+ either way.  It is bundled on my Hulu package.

That is correct. We’re out of market. We have to have that to see the games anyway, so nothing changes for us. Those in market folk have to do a little dance to see it.

For the Sabres Diaspora, the normal way to watch the games is ESPN+

Given how Cozens and Quinn have played this season*, this lineup looks like three 3rd lines of different makeups (defensive zone option, forechecking option, kid option) and one 4th line. That's really ugly.

*Fun stat look: This isn't how shooting percentages work, but Cozens and Quinn shot% added together is 11. Individually, they're shooting like D-men who only take point shots. Quinn still only has a that one ENG on the entire season.

While it's still early (until 12/1, then it's no longer early), the points percentage is already not their friend.

I think it’s safe to say they need to get another streak going with this game. It’s not early in the season anymore in terms of ability to lose points. We are almost a quarter of the way through and a lot of teams in a playoff position by Thanksgiving are in the playoffs come end of season.
