SDS Posted Tuesday at 10:00 PM Report Posted Tuesday at 10:00 PM Update 11/13/24: I have changed the settings so that you can login with your display name as you are now or with your email address. I just tried this myself and it works just fine. I did not have to do anything other than change my login name to my email address on file. No emails were required to be sent to my email address. Bottom line is that you can start using this now and it should transfer over seamlessly whenever the new software is released and installed here. *************** Signing in with a Display Name has been removed in v5 of our software, email addresses MUST be used instead. This isn't my choice. The functionality has been removed. I do not know the full consequences of this. To avoid being locked out, please make sure you know your password and you have a working email address, in case of problems needing a reset. It is possible/probable that if you know your password, you just need to change the login name upon logging back in. We should assume the upgrade WILL log every out. I do not know when this release and upgrade will take place, but they are preparing and issuing advice. Thanks. 9 Quote

... Posted Tuesday at 11:28 PM Report Posted Tuesday at 11:28 PM Chrome-based browsers allow you to export your saved credentials (ie. user names and passwords). So, if you use one of those browsers you can find your password that way. Quote

mjd1001 Posted yesterday at 02:02 AM Report Posted yesterday at 02:02 AM (edited) Is it "complaint Thursday" yet? I used to have a huge spreadsheet with passwords on it, but it got to the point where I had 30+...I don't know, maybe 40 or 50, and I just gave up, only the necessary ones for work now. New password every month for some sites, new password every few months on others. Have to randomly verify with a passcode sent to my phone on record. Some passwords can be anything, others need a special character, a capital and lower case, a number....And then when I finally have a couple passwords I used, I get a browser warning every time I go to some damn sites reminding me over and over that my password may have been compromised and reminding me to change all of them. If something isn't broke, don't change it. Edited yesterday at 02:03 AM by mjd1001 Quote

Still doesn’t allow me to view my current password. I tried to change it using several generic passwords Ive used in the past. No hits. Account name Weave may not survive this unless there is a way I can see the current password I am using. And, of course, I selected “save password” in my browser before seeing that I had the wrong original password, so I am probably good and ***** now. Edited yesterday at 01:53 PM by Weave Quote
SwampD Posted 23 hours ago Report Posted 23 hours ago (edited) If you’ve ever logged in on an iPhone or iPad, go to Settings, search Keychain, tap Passwords, scroll down and tap Sabrespace, tap the dots of your password and the letters will appear. Edited 23 hours ago by SwampD 1 Quote

Yeah, I screwed that up by saving my new password selection this morning. The problem is, I had the old password wrong. So this site did not accept the password change, but my phone stored the new password. I probably need an assist from SDS now. Unless there is a way to view your password on this site that I haven’t noticed yet. Quote
LTS Posted 23 hours ago Report Posted 23 hours ago So, here's my recommendation. If you are able to login now, make sure the email address listed under your account is accurate and you can access it. If you cannot access that email, change your email address to a new address. Re-activate your account. Open a different browser and choose sign-in, then forgot password. This will email you a link to change your password. Change your password and save it. That should assist you. Why a different browser? Because if you sign out with the one browser that automatically logs you in then you are truly hosed. Choosing a reset password email will not change your password until you actually do it. At which point you'll know your new password. 1 Quote

Honestly, it might be months until this happens. I have no way of predicting it. I just know we were finally officially warned. I figured I might as well just rip the Band-Aid off now. 1 Quote
