Stoner Posted November 12, 2024 Report Posted November 12, 2024 (edited) I rushed through the last two seasons to see how the Sabres have fared when playing the day after a Bills game. I have them at 2-5, tho I have a low level of confidence in my work. At this point it's a hypothesis. The Sabres struggle when playing the day after a Bills game. Does anyone want to grab the baton from me? We could go back any number of years. Edited November 12, 2024 by Stoner Quote

They have done the same once those football seasons ended as well. 1 3 2 Quote

What usually holds true is that if the Sabres win the last game before the Bills play the Bills win and if they lose they tend to have a higher chance of losing or struggling. Believe both of the Bills losses this year have come after previous losses that weekend by the Sabres. Quote

The guys are partying hard during Bills games. It shows how unprofessional and immature they are. Where is the captain in this? 1 Quote
bunomatic Posted December 13, 2024 Report Posted December 13, 2024 On Friedmans latest 32 thoughts the Sabres were last or 2nd last and all he said about this trainwreck was ‘ at least they have the Bills ‘. Talk about being irrelevant. 1 Quote
Big Guava Posted December 14, 2024 Report Posted December 14, 2024 Bills struggle usually the day after Sabres losses... Quote
Stoner Posted Monday at 02:36 PM Author Report Posted Monday at 02:36 PM Hoo boy... What's that, Bill? Folks I'm being told the Sabres have won the last two games they played the day after a Bills game. The Bres boys are bonding over the Bills! Quote
Pimlach Posted Monday at 03:22 PM Report Posted Monday at 03:22 PM There should be nothing to correlate between Sabres and Bills wins and losses.  I do have one superstition though. Once a Bills game starts I will not look at anything Sabres, no posting here, no checking scores, no talking about them. The Bills get all my attention. This is coming from a long time Buffalo hockey fanatic. I wasn't always like this, but I don't want to taint the Bills experience with Sabres.  I believed in the concept of One Buffalo before PSE came up with it. But it goes far beyond sports teams and more to the community.  Once a West Sider, always a West Sider.  Quote

PerreaultForever Posted Monday at 08:19 PM Report Posted Monday at 08:19 PM Do you really think the Sabres are in any way invested in what the Bills do or don't do? Maybe if they grew up around there like Tuch but despite public appearances for the image of being part of the community I doubt any of these guys really care if the Bills win or lose and a lot of them probably don't even care about football at all. You Buffalo locals however should probably not watch the Sabres until the Bills season is over. That way you will have a good 4 months of the year and then if the Sabres are out of it you won't have to suffer the agony of false hope every year. You can just talk about the next rebuild and the draft. I don't really like the NFL game any more but when I was a big football fan I never took hockey seriously until January/February. Quote

PromoTheRobot Posted 17 hours ago Report Posted 17 hours ago Terry made a deal with Satan. All the winning mojo goes to the Bills so they can win it all and sell the rest of the PSLs in the new stadium. Quote
