A team that just beat Ottawa, Calgary, and the Rangers is not going to get rattled by a bad loss.  The locker room knows they have a good team, and Cozens is starting to play well.

Consistency is the mark of a good team. They aren’t quite there yet.

Being in front of reporters in a position where you have to say something, even though you're ticked off is pretty hard. Its a bunch of verbal diarrhea... And not worth thinking about.

Yup, this group will NEVER make the playoffs. How can a team that has sucked for so long have an OUNCE of a feeling that anyone would be an easy out?! I just can't even believe these words were voiced out loud...honestly, pathetic.

Yikes

The sad thing is that this is this team's culture.  Work hard a couple of games and then float a couple of games.  There's a reason they can barely win 3 games in a row.

Ruff needs to break this mindset.  Being their buddy is never going to work with this group.

How does a team that has hit rock bottom more than anything should, talk about something being easy?

I guess it's easy to make millions while you lose games.

The point isn't that it happened. It's that it happened again!

We've heard this before!

How many more times are they going to have to be humbled for it to sink in that they have to be working, always, if they want to be as great as they already think they are?

I don't actually hate what Cozens said. It's a bit nonchalant but he does acknowledge that they had a bad effort. I've heard worse from players in past years. In fairness he did say "unacceptable". and it was.

Yea it felt to me like in his head he wanted to trash their effort without actually trashing their effort and this is what came out.

I don’t know.  I’d have rather him just say “we can’t play defense worth a ***t.”

I wish Ruff would walk away from this.  I wouldn't blame him one bit.  He's not fixing this.  KA is the ringmaster of TP's circus and sadly neither one of these bozos are going anywhere soon.

They were bad from the start but they really lost a lot when Thompson came out of the game.  We got to see Cozens at 1C and Krebs at 3C and it was not good enough.   The Power/Bryson combo was bad.  Bryson is a 7/6, not a 4

We won’t win enough games this season with Cozens at 2C, Quinn in the line up, and the soft top 4 defense that includes Power playing 22+ minutes with bad partners.  These particular players are not ready for the load they are being asked to carry right now.  They still may become very good player’s someday, but they are inconsistent right now.

Power with Bryson/Joker is not a playoff 2nd pair.   We knew this a few years ago, right?
