Stoner Posted Tuesday at 03:40 PM Report Posted Tuesday at 03:40 PM I wonder when the captain noticed that the team was feeling too good about itself and what he did about it. 1 3 Quote
CallawaySabres Posted Tuesday at 04:01 PM Report Posted Tuesday at 04:01 PM When do we find out Tage is out for 3 months? You just know with this team, the news is going to be bad. And if it is, can we please get a GM that will trade for a top 6 forward? I don't care if they mortgage the future anymore. Pull an LA Rams philosophy and get some more talent on this team this year...not in the Summer, not next year, now. 1 Quote

LTS Posted Tuesday at 05:06 PM Report Posted Tuesday at 05:06 PM Had to listen to most of the game on radio, which was an absolute abomination because the Dan and Rob show is first, difficult to hear, and second full of stories and commentary and nothing about the game itself. Got to watch part of the second period on TV as I was in a restaurant. Can't comment too much on the game itself, but you don't lose to the Canadiens in your home building. It's inexcusable. It's a huge middle finger to your loyal fans who show up at the game only to have to listen to all the Habs fans in the building cheering. Those poor fans who not only had to suffer through your absolutely pathetic performance on the ice but then had to listen to Habs fans the entire time. If the Canadiens were tops in the league it might, ALMOST, be excusable, but they aren't. The Canadiens were below them in the standings and it only adds insult to the misery. Is there something wrong with Aube-Kubel again? Is there a reason he's not better to put in the lineup than Quinn? They need to go get a veteran D that some team is looking to offload. Someone who can teach this team how to cover the zone and play defense. Quinn is a great asset to give up, along with a draft pick, or frankly any number of things. Quote
WhenWillItEnd66 Posted Tuesday at 05:54 PM Report Posted Tuesday at 05:54 PM This game should be a serious embarrassment to the whole organization. Lack of defensive effort by the team as a whole. Montreal deserved to win this game from start to finish. Buffalo could not handle the Habs speed at all. Buffalo refused any defensive physicality whenever the Habs came into our zone. Our goalies together looked absolutely like AHL material. I do not care about who they just beat and how many games. This was a game for the taking and Buffalo got taken to school on how to show up. Muel should never EVER see the ice as a Sabres player. He is playing horrible and is like glass joe. Dahlin needs to ride the pine a game!! He needs to be taught that his childish penalties have cost this team points! Quinn and Joki need to be traded for a defensive aggressive dman!! Bring Kulich back and next year buyout Muel, but use him as your 7th (If he can walk!) I have seen some improvement, but it seems like one step forward, one step back. Quote

Well we know one of the assistants said "Whoopsie, forgot to try. Maybe I will remember to do that next time. We'll see". 1 Quote

One time I mused aloud that my mind sometimes wonders if a certain player had taken and went off PEDs. The whole place went nuclear. DEFCOM 1. 🤣 We are not a healthy family. 1 Quote

Idemo Buffalo Posted Tuesday at 10:48 PM Report Posted Tuesday at 10:48 PM "The Montreal loss was surely terrible but the key for it is to only be one game. #Sabres are right there in the mushy middle with everyone else. That's what I should do? Buy stuff to support the team? 1 1 Quote

It was only one game. Unfortunately it was one game that looked a lot like other games they have played. Yes, the key is for it to only be one game, but until they play another game it's the only game we have. So, right now the Sabres continue to show that when teams play physical they tend to fold. It's not one game, it's just yet another game where it happened and the Sabres folded. When they finally learn to outplay a physical team, when they finally look like they know how to cover the defensive zone, when they finally stop taking dumbass penalties, then they finally look like they can get consistently good goaltending, when they do these things, then they can get the benefit of the doubt on one bad game. They've got 13 years worth of garbage to dig out of, it will take awhile for us to believe they don't stink. Quote
SwampD Posted 18 hours ago Author Report Posted 18 hours ago The mushy middle. Just where I always dreamed my favorite team should be. Is that really what we are aspiring to be? So, which is it? Are the Sabres a good team, or are they in the mushy middle? Quote
