Young team issues, if the other team is playing a sloppy game, we for some reason does it even worse. Unfortunately it is games like this that is the difference between a playoff team and they who aren't. Hope a coach with routine can fix it quickly.

Still, I think it would have been a comfortable win without the injuries on Samuelsson and Tage. Hope it is not something that keep them out of the linup next game.

I agree. That excuse is wearing thin, though.

Always tough to win road games I guess.

So many bad things I have a hard time in this one coming away with anything positive to say. I guess Tage was good before he got hurt.

Big guys made of glass though.

I hate to dump on goalies but there was terrible goaltending all around today. I think we were lucky Primeau started or else this might not have been close but UPL tried to play down to his level and Levi? idk. The D didn't exactly help and Bryson showed his limitations (among others).

I don't understand why Quinn isn't in the press box but I guess if Thompson is hurt he will be even harder to drop from the line up. Lack of depth will kill us here.

Disappointing. They have practice time for Ruff to get them out of this but if it continues we will be back to the same old same old.

Empty building. Guess families don't think it's worth the money to take the kids for a day game any more. Can't blame them.

I’m not arguing they did ok but  these ARE the games people look back on and say, only if they won this game or that.

I don't think they will be chasing points in the Spring. I think they are going to make the playoffs rather easily. Now if Tage is gone for months, it could be a problem.

Overall aggravating game; feels like we are cursed because anything that seems to start going well will inevitably blow up due to injury or getting screwed by the refs.

I thought a puck hitting your glove automatically was akin to a glove pass if a teammate picked it up regardless of intention?

Just pray that Thompson is alright and will be back Thursday.

Sabres have won 3 of 4 and beat 3 winning teams.  They lost their top scorer for most of today. It happens. Should they have gutted out a win, sure, but I had them going 3-1 before the last 4 with a loss at NYR. They still got the 6 points.

I'm happy with 6 of 8 as well. But, but the next two games will tell the tale. They cannot go on to lose 3 in a row again.

It is no excuse, they are professionals and should keep it together. But if the coach can point out what went wrong it might be a good lesson. But expensive.

It is what happens when two tired teams play each other. Rarely does a team have to play 4 games in 5 1/2 days. Both of them had a brutal schedule.

This is such a weak pile of apologetics. They are supposed to be the young fast energetic team. If this was a bunch of over 30 vets I might consider it, but they were not tired, they were just BAD.

They just won 3 of 4 with wins over the New York Rangers, Calgary, and the Ottawa Senators.

And we just got embarrassed on our home ice in front of a bunch of Canadiens fans. What’s your point?

6 out of 8 points against those 4 teams is great. Didn't get them the expected way, but they got them.

I agree that youth is the reason, but that is who the Sabres are. Eventually, I mean, someday, the Sabres won't be the youngest team in the league? I mean,… right? Someday?

Horrifically bad against a team with a horrific defence. This game should result in a bag skate. Horrible effort. It should not be excused.

If you have two guys injured and give up 7 goals (last 4 games they gave up a combined total of 6) they likely were a tired team. No excuse for losing, but fatigue explains a lot.

I didn't know that Montreal had lost 6 in a row up til today.

I would have never expected the win had I known that. There's no better cure for a losing streak than playing Buffalo.

I think you might want to consider that if Primeau could actually play goal this might have been a blow out.

Thank you ka, for making it necessary for Bryson to be on the ice. The player he was responsible for was directly involved with the Habs last two goals. It is beyond me how he can still be on this team.

Scoring is back, that is good.

Sloppy play is back, that is not good.

Bonus on Krebs potting 1, Good.

Tage getting hurt, bad.

Sometimes your the bug, sometimes your the winshield.

Don't dwell on it, learn from it and move along.

On to the next.

What if you had known that they would light up the horrible Habs for five goals? Would you still not have expected the win? I would have.
