CTJoe Posted November 11 Report Posted November 11 Stupid plays, stupid penalties, stupid refs about sums it up Quote
LGR4GM Posted November 11 Report Posted November 11 Losing this game is unacceptable. Not bad, not something to yell at players about, not a learning experience, not anything. It is unacceptable to lose at home to the worst team in the NHL. 1 Quote
WhenWillItEnd66 Posted November 11 Report Posted November 11 This is why they will not make the playoffs. Cannot dominate against weaker teams 1 Quote
Wyldnwoody44 Posted November 11 Report Posted November 11 Yay, can't wait for more of Quinn and cheap penalties in the 3rd Quote

Their defence is absolutely abysmal. It was horrid on Saturday night and poor Montembault was getting shelled. If the Sabres want to appear legit this season, these are the teams you need to feast on. You can beat the Rangers, Dallas, Florida etc all you want, but when you lose to Columbus, Montreal , the Islanders, you're in no better position than you were the previous 13 seasons. 1 Quote

DarthEbriate Posted November 11 Report Posted November 11 For those of you who watch Amerks games... don't look at the names of the referees for this game. Quote

I know there are some good "vibes" going on because of the last week.... But, I'm not sold yet... We've been historically bad, so until that's sustained for at least 6 weeks, I'm still not sure we have the right skill/make up of a good team, and Adams is still trash 6 Quote
DarthEbriate Posted November 11 Report Posted November 11 If 23-Muel-PO misses time, Gilbert is in. That's easy. If Tagebacca misses time... hmmm. Difficult to see. 1 Quote

Montreal is God awful so far this season. Horrible D. Quote
Bangarang Posted November 11 Report Posted November 11 11 shots through 2 against a bad team and bad goalie. Just Sabres things 1 1 Quote
thewookie1 Posted November 11 Report Posted November 11 The fact they didn’t call a penalty on that blatant hook on Power and yet they called a chincy interference on Byram and a delay of game off a deflection is aggravating. Add to that Thompson hasn’t returned Don’t get me wrong, play ***** better but we are simultaneously getting whacked over the head by additional negative circumstances 2 1 Quote
Idemo Buffalo Posted November 11 Report Posted November 11 Just now, Porous Five Hole said: @Demoted & @Idemo Buffalo, this is why you proactively manage your crease versus “ride the hot guy.” Four games in six days is too many in today’s NHL. They aren't taking a red hot goalie out with a chance for their longest win streak in 2 years. I think if they win today though, Lindy will consider starting Levi on Thursday. It is different because UPL has already given up 4 goals today. He had only given up one or two his last 4 games. 1 Quote

Cannot dominate against weaker teams they are kind of dominating play - they just take stupid fkn momentum turning penalties and make stupid plays. UPL is average at best also, had no chance on the 3rd goal, but certainly could have save the 2nd and 4th ones if his angles were correct and I honestly don't remember the 1st one. 4 goals allowed on 18 shots doesn't work. 4 PPs for Montreal (including a 2man pp) and only 2 for us. 1 Quote
eman Posted November 11 Report Posted November 11 And I'll throw it out there once again. If they aren't in a playoff spot by US Thanksgiving, they won't be by season's end. The Sport Centre stat still holds with me. Quote
Believer Posted November 11 Report Posted November 11 (edited) Geez I go away we’re up 3-2. I come back we’re down 4-3. Suzuki scores twice in the last minute. Talk about a breakdown. Ruff must be berserk Edited November 11 by Believer 1 Quote
