HumanSlinky39 Posted November 11 Report Posted November 11 Forgot they played early. Glad I missed it. Hope this doesn't start another strong of losses, because that would be "same old Sabres." Quote

I'll bet you can't believe that the Sabres didn't get a free pass to the playoffs when they swept the Knights last season. Are you talking about Montreal, because the Sabres aren't a bad team. They just beat Ottawa, Calgary, and the NYR in three straight games. None of those teams are bad teams. 1 Quote

FrenchConnection44 Posted November 11 Report Posted November 11 This is why, when a lot of posters thought this time was different after the Rangers win, I expressed skepticism. This is the same undisciplined, youthful team that can’t play the game the way it should be played most of the time. They only play 50% of the time. They will continue on these 3-4 game win streaks and 3-4 game losing streaks. No way should they have lost this game if they are a team intent on grinding their way to the playoffs. 1 2 1 Quote

It’s an ongoing effort. They needed a d-man Zucker, too. But maybe they figure it out with an experienced NHL coach this year? Time will tell. But one thing is for certain, if TNT is out for an extended time, not having a Mitts-level center to step in is going to have certain repercussions. 1 1 Quote

Speculation the injury is not that serious? What type of injury? Quote
Marty Posted November 11 Report Posted November 11 I don’t think he should be banned for being optimistic. It’s kinda refreshing to have someone who hasn’t been poisoned by years and years of “the same old crap”… 3 Quote

Just hit the ignore eject button. I don't even know what to make of Dahlin. The problem with him is not his ceiling (probably true for most guys). I think he can be as good as any D-man ever. The problem is his floor. Can he limit the amount of dumb or lazy (and yes, they are lazy) plays that end up hurting the team. It happens way too often for as talented as he is. 1 Quote

It's what the makes the 24-25 Sabres a bad team. On pace for 77 points this year. That's tank-worthy bad. 1 Quote

Eventually, I mean, someday, the Sabres won't be the youngest team in the league? I mean,… right? Someday? I would hope they wouldn't be BUT next year likely Zucker won't be back. They might let Greenway go. Clifton will be gone the year after if not sooner. They'll be replaced by Kulich and Johnson and idk some other prospect.........so you see we might just stay the youngest forever. Edited November 12 by PerreaultForever Quote

OTT is just like us, young and aspiring but nothing proven yet. Up and down. They suck on the road. Calgary? Calgary is a total rebuild team. Consider all the subtractions. If that team is actually good we'd best take a look at what their GM is doing because he has the rebuild formula down if that's the case. (It isn't). Sabres played good for 2 games. Bad for 2 games after that but managed to win one of them. That's not good enough. 1 3 Quote
