I’m not even really sure what we saw last game. Still processing it, but I liked it.

Even though both have played a little better of late (who hasn’t?), it would really be great to see Cozens and Quinn turn it on even more, I’ll take even just one of’m.

Not sure of the line up. Hope they don’t change anything until they need to.

Not sure of where to watch other than ESPN+. I’ll add to the title as they come in.

Let’s keep this rollin’ and make @Idemo Buffalo the biggest “I Told You So” pain in the ass that there could be.

LFG!!!

I’m not sure how many games it will take me to trust the Sabres will bring a consistent, high energy effort, but these next four games will go a long way in that regard. It’s not good enough we win, this team needs to continue to make statements for its fans and the league.

I will miss this but they are sucking me back in slowly. The trust is not quite there until they can show me that the last 2 games were not just a fluke.
win 7 out of 10 this way and I may just buy in…then go win another 7 out of 10?that way.

You have to think Ruff will not put up with any slacking. If these guys have the talent, Lindy will coach them up.

This will be an interesting game. I really don't know what to make of Calgary...

-I only saw one game of theirs this year, a few weeks ago they lost to Winnipeg but at one point they were leading, but at least that game they hit everything in site (I think they were well over 20 hits through 2 periods)

-They are a slow-methodical team.  They have one guy who can fly, forgot his name but he's a bottom 6 guy. Other than that they don't skate all that fast.

-I don't think the Defense has much depth, but the top 2 guys are good (Andersson and Weeger) and seem to be out there all the time.

-No surprise from them in terms of who they beat and lost to when I looked at their schedule. They beat who they 'should' beat...Montreal, Pittsburgh, Chicago, Philly, and Edmonton (during the Oilers slow start) and they lost to the better teams they played so far (sometimes badly)...Carolina, Winnipeg, Vegas, Edmonton (most recently when they started playing a bit better) and Boston.

So yeah, I think I could watch this Calgary team play 5 games before I had a feel for them. Should make the matchup interesting.

If you usually beat the teams that you should, then from a playoff standpoint you should be in good shape. Losing to the Islanders at home when their best player was back in Jersey was a gut wrenching WTF loss. You can't throw away those golden opportunities when presented because those "should have" points add up in the year end tally. For this team, the margin of error is small.

Just maybe, one positive takeaway from that enraging loss was that it made the coach lose his patience and put some slacker heads on the chopping block that resulted in the rest of the lineup to play with more purpose and attention to details.

There are a lot of things to focus on watching this game. For me, I will give special attention to the Benson/Cozens/Quinn line. If that line can play up to the expectation many of us had for it, that would be a major plus for this team as the season moves on. If not, the coach will be involved on another line reshuffling.

Just arrived in Buffalo. I'm currently waiting for the 15 bus to the Paula's Donuts on Seneca.

Amerks-Sabres back to back…I’m impressed. Were you the one asking about planning a trip a while back?

Multiple games of two of our top 4 d from the start of the season being scratched is a huge change. I think most of us could’ve told him Joki is no more than a 6D and Samuelsson is also bottom pair, but it’s a bold move to continue and I like it.

I will be interested to see their performance when they slot back in. I am still not a fan of Bryson other than as a short term fill in.

This scratching period should light a fire under Mule. He is a laid back guy but he must play with a higher sense of urgency and bring more edge.

I will only say I told you so after Dahlin hosts the Cup in June.

Nah, that was the two openers last month. Was at MSG Thursday, got a bus at 10:45 last night and got up here around 7:30. Bus back is booked for 8:45pm.

Samuelsson has been on the bottom pair all year. Just as a note.

I need Benson- Cozens- Quinn to show up today.
