Alright. Let's do this again.

Lots to like last game.

Still a lot to prove this game. Rangers are good with a good goalie. Most likely not going to get those cheap ones tonight.

I'm going to be at an Autism fundraiser down near Philly, so I'll actually get to stream it on ESPN+ in a hotel room. Hopefully not too far behind live.

I just want to be entertained.

LFG!!!!

They need to play at the level they played on Tuesday and let the chips fall where they may. Are they better than the Rangers? Probably not, but they are fully capable of winning this game.  Maybe we will look back in April and this will be the game that changed the franchise.

If Ruff changes the lineup for non-injury reasons, especially on defense, his speeches about accountability are BS.

These were the lines at practice yesterday:

I loved how the Sabres pummelled the Sens all night. It made Ottawa look over their shoulder all game. Make the Rangers do the same.

They just beat another Vezina winner, keep it going.

This is a good test of whether they are buying into Lindy’s tactics. They need to bring that intensity and win or lose, we will appreciate the effort.

Without going too far down the rabbit hole, this has been the most frustrating part of a big part of the draught and Adams tenure. They go periods, and sometimes games looking like they just aren't even trying.

If they were a mediocre 89 point, try hard team every year for the last 13 years the arena would still be filled.

I hope after scouting our game against the Sens that the Rangers start Rempe and have players like Trouba come out physical to see if they can get us to back down. Throw everything at us. Let’s see our mettle.

I had the same thought.

Will the Rangers read about the Big, Bad Buffalo coming for them and say, "We've got to call up Rempe from the A because if not, Greenway will check Panarin through the glass." Will the Rangers pull a Dalton Smith?

(But then I kind of dismissed the thought. I think the Rangers have confidence in their team's abilities [they've got two games in hand and a 6-point lead in the standings over the Sabres] and aren't intimidated by this team at all.)

The Rangers have quickly become one of my least favorite teams based solely on the presence of NYC fanboi Chris Drury.  Can’t stand the guy.

They are near the top of my list but mostly due to NY city fans overall.

I grew up with the Yankees as my favorite baseball team.  At times in my childhood I liked the Jets.  My wife is from NY city, when we met I want to quite a few Mets games (she lived less than 3 miles from Shea and/or Citi field. I really didn't hate any NY team for a while....

Then as I got older, I traveled a lot and lived in some different areas. Got to know Toronto fans, Boston fans (for all the sports, I lived near Boston for years) Spent some time in South Florida.  Met some guys from Philly, Dallas...etc.

As a whole, when you take into account the entire city, my PERSONAL experiences have me disliking NY city teams in general because of the fans. Yeah, Red Sox and Patriots fans can be annoying. Dallas Cowboy fans sure.  But overall, I'd say of the 20 biggest "Jerks" I have ever come across in all of sports, for me 15 of them were fans of some NY city team.

Of course that is my personal experience. Everyone is different. But to me its so bad that the Yankees at one point where they were my favorite non-Buffalo sports team in ANY sport, and now, I'm totally done with them. Mostly because of interactions with some of their 'bad' fans.

To your larger point about the Rangers..yeah. The only team I can even tolerate the Rangers beating is the Leafs right now.

Another chance to see which team shows up tonight. If Lindy is back to being a coach that holds them accountable, I expect the same line up as the other night.

When changes do happen, it needs to be because they were earned not just given.

LFG Buffalo, beat the Rags because my insufferable brother-in-law is an in-your-face Rangers fan from Long Island.

I have no issue with the Rangers but I can understand their fans being over the top.

The Leafs fans are the reason I passionately dislike the team. They are so delusional, Cup favourites every year, Matthews is a gimme to beat Gretzky and Ovi, Marner can win the Art Ross, Stolarz is a Vezina candidate and Berube for the Adams. There is even talk of Tanev making Team Canada at the Four Nations. A number 4D on average teams for an all star team. Maybe the logic is that Canada has no goaltending, so you plunk him in the crease with Binnington and he saves 10 shots himself.

Good. Lindy did finally lose patience.

The best part of the Lindy hire is he a trustworth barometer for who is and isn't a capable NHL player.

Will he take a the 9th best roster in the league and get them to a Stanley Cup Final? No, not without a little luck and/or a generational goaltender. But he can take the 9th best roster in the league and win a playoff series or two, finish the season where they are supposed and say "We need a,b,and c on this roster in order for us to be better". That is something that we haven't had in the org in a really long time.

Lindy's the clear Alpha now.

I wonder if Adams feels a bit like he's being told to go get his shine box when Lindy puts one of Adams' foundational d-men in the press box for multiple games.
