RETURNTOGLORY Posted November 3 Report Posted November 3 This team has NO scoring prowess! They also play lazy and with no sense of urgency. Name on player on the team that hits the ice at 100% and does not stop until he gets back to the bench. 1 Quote

zow2 Posted November 3 Report Posted November 3 It’s so frustrating going back over the past few years how many times Buffalo trails by a goal the entire 3rd period and cannot even get a losers point. They just stack regulation losses. Find a way to tie these games up 1 Quote
Believer Posted November 3 Report Posted November 3 22 minutes ago, mjd1001 said: That is my point exactly.....firing Adams may make some people feel better. After watching the start of this season...its very frustrating. But who is Pegula going to PICK to come here, that will be WILLING to come here, that is going to make a difference? If Adams stays as GM under the current situation, nothing changes. If a new GM comes in that Pegula picks nothing changes. The only thing that changes things if its A new gm, OR ADAMS staying, and Pegula stops being Pegula. Adams leaving does nothing by itself. Zero. Think NHL Commissioner Bettman needs to have a ComeToJesus meeting with the Pegula family and his top brass. Spend. Fix. or Sell. 3 1 Quote
Gatorman0519 Posted November 3 Report Posted November 3 We need an experienced GM and all fresh eyes running the team. No more good ole boys. That’s the common denominator . When Florida did that they never looked back once they put real hockey minds in charge. 4 Quote

DarthEbriate Posted November 3 Author Report Posted November 3 Went bowling and then to drinks/dinner with some friends tonight. Had lots of fun. I checked the score twice during the dinner portion, once when up 1-0, once when down 2-1. I should do more activities during Sabres games; maybe I'll even hide my phone. Thanks, Darth Pegulas the Wise! 9 minutes ago, Indabuff said: What a kick in the nads it will be if Lindy's association with this team will be marred because of this circus. He did allow himself to be convinced to take the job. Just think who we'd have as coach if the extensive search had gotten past Ruff. Probably it'd just be Appert. Maybe Matt Ellis. 1 Quote

Name on player on the team that hits the ice at 100% and does not stop until he gets back to the bench. See now I don’t think they played lazy tonight They just aren’t good enough. See my previous post. Patrick Kane’s existence on that team immediately makes them better than us. Players like him do all the little things right that make a different bc he’s a Hall of Famer. Our best winger is Alex Tuch. That’s all you need to know. We’re a perennial 85 point team until real legit hall of fame management, scouting, and most importantly players come here or get developed here. The Caps turned it around so quick bc not just the culture - but because of a culture that was built by OV all they need to do his watch real greatness prepare and play everyday. We just aren’t and never will be at every playoff contender’s level bc we have ZERO players that make everyone around them better. We have ZERO players that all are elite. None. Not Dahlin. Not Thompson. Not anyone. They’re just very good. And that’s 2 guys. Power ain’t that dude yet and it might take a few more YEARS. Edited November 3 by Second Line Center 2 1 Quote

They would be 7-4-1 instead of 4-7-1 if they had a decent PP. It is something that can be fixed. They just lost back to back games by 1 goal. SabreFinn Posted November 3 Report Posted November 3 6 hours ago, Goldseatsaud said: Why doesn’t the owner speak to the press NHL does not work that way. Maybe he could answer some questions if they are kind, like what he thinks about his daughters success on the tennis court? When the global series came to Finland this weekend, NHL gave journalists a list of questions they were not allowed to ask. For example no questions to the players about the leagues rules when checking to the head. Maybe NHL never visit Finland again if a local media would do their job properly? I like the high tempo hockey the NHL plays, and I like the Sabres, but the team owners, who also thereby own the league, and Bettman and the others who represent the league are full of *****. 1 1 Quote

The league can make more money with expansion into a stronger market with an ownership committed to winning a Cup. Quebec City, Houston, Atlanta are just three candidates. We are kidding ourselves if we think Pegula will pump real money into a laughing stock franchise to attract HOF level talent without some real pressure from the league. Bettman won’t protect Buffalo forever, imo. Quote
#freejame Posted November 3 Report Posted November 3 The league doesn’t want relocation. For all intents and purposes, the NHL doesn’t factor Canada into into a media markets. The way Bettman see it, there’s 25 teams in the NHL and room for 30. Relocation eliminates expansion fees, which is what the league and owners want. Once the league gets to 36 teams, then you can worry about shuffling of cities. That’s at least 10 years away. Sell the team and enjoy a decade. 1 Quote

New owners want to come in with immediate success under rules as close to the Vegas structure as possible. They don’t want zero prestige dumpster fires like the Sabres. Quote

Could be... but as we now know.. still not. Keep up your hope, but failure to recognize that this team sucks right now is still a failure. Another horrible game with no meaningful puck control. The team has terrible breakouts and appears to be 18 skaters each playing a different game. That's on the coaching staff. They have had so many days off that it should have been fixed. Remember when we were excited because Ruff would stop practice for offsides? Where's the attention to detail now? This team is broken and it needs to get unbroke really fast. Time to do what it takes to make the playoffs a reality, or sell the team. 2 Quote
