Aww, that's a shame 😉

The negativity is tedious dude. It's pretty much all you do.

The guys injured, your rejoicing, and you question other posters character for pointing out mere game play by our team?

You might want to take some time to reflect on the human being you've become. Just a suggestion.

Go Sabres!

Interested to see if the new lines can get people out of their funks. Cozens on the wing should work imo.

I assume Islanders play that same plodding dull hockey they've always played so skate and use your speed. That's about it. No reason not to win this.

I don't think a good coach just says something and does it.  I think you have to balance 'accountability' with 'letting a guy work through it.'  And what determines which way you go? What you are seeing on film, what your assistants are saying, when you talk to the guy, what he says. How hard he is working.

Sometimes accountability is justified, but a good coach knows when to go in that direction vs letting guys play through things.

Samuelsson didn’t just make one mistake. He cost them goals against in multiple games due to mental mistakes. By not sitting him for a game it sends the message that the captain and alternates won’t be held to the same standard. And if he’s really a leader Samuelsson would have accepted it. Don’t make a rule and then not follow through.

When did he say it was a 'rule'?

Again, I want my coach to be adjustable.  Some guys may respond better to punishment, other guys respond better to playing through it. I don't want a coach that just sets 'rules' and sticks to them no matter what.  Anyone can do that, have a computer generate the 'rules' you want to go by, and you have a MLB baseball manager. The reason a coach can be better is if he knows how to deal with each situation, each individual, differently.  Now, I do not know if this is one of those cases, but that is the reason you hire a full time coach, to know the difference.

I feel like the time between games is very long this season.

Sabres get this bounce back game, Levi should be well rested and ready. Pedal to the metal and don't let up!

Are we really throwing Dahlin in with those 3 guys. He was injured and still has a goal and 5 assists and is +2 on the year. He has made some bad defensive plays, but we are getting solid, although not ideal production from him. Jack Quinn is a little troubling but maybe he gets it going this month. Odd start to an NHL season for the Sabres.

Heck yes Dahlin should be included.  I'd bet Lindy thinks so too -- he sure didn't hesitate to throw Dahlin under the bus after the loss to Florida.

Dahlin has the huge contract (something like top-3 in the NHL for defensemen) and the C.  He's supposed to be their best player and be a force all over the ice every night.  I'm still waiting for him to deliver even 1 game like that.  He's been OK -- nothing more.

You do realize he was hurt and missed 5 days of camp and then had a non-contact jersey on. If you miss 5 days of camp in the NHL you are dealing with a real injury. His numbers might not be elite right now, but they are a heck of a lot better than the other 3 players. Quinn and Cozens have unfortunately been not producing at all.

Morally Weak.

Yes, I realize that he was hurt.  That gives me some reason for hope that he'll improve as he heals.

But I don't think his "numbers" make a GD bit of difference.  He's been a complete JAG this season.

Again, I think it's reasonably likely that his mediocre play has been injury-related.  If not, though, and if this is all the Sabres get from him, it's a disaster.

Did he magically forget how to play hockey?  In his last two seasons he has a combined 35 goals and 97 assists.

He has been injured and he is playing in a new system. In the last four games he has 1 goal and 3 assists and we are 3-1.

Bold prediction:  Krebs first period goal.

My mistake. I thought he was talking about delaying the puck drop.

That's part of why I don't like Hockey Fights Cancer night.
