LGR4GM Posted November 1 Report Posted November 1 The 3-5-2 Islanders roll into town to take on the Black n Red 4-5-1 Sabres. The Islanders have been shutout, I believe 3 times already this season so hopefully Buffalo get's solid goaltending tonight because, quite frankly, we should beat this team. They have a limited offense, their defense is meh, and really I don't think their goalies are super special. Look for Buffalo to have the lineup from practice yesterday that included this line: Greenway - McLeod - Cozens Quote
LGR4GM Posted November 1 Author Report Posted November 1 (edited) Unsure if they will make changes but we should see something similar. This is the lineup the Islanders had in their last game: Forwards Tsyplakov-Horvat-Holmstrom Barzal-Nelson-Palmieri Lee-Pageau-Fasching Martin-MacLean-Cizikas Defense Reilly-Dobson Pelech-Pulock Cholowski-Mayfield Goalies Varlamov Sorokin Edited November 1 by LGR4GM Quote
#freejame Posted November 1 Report Posted November 1 Missing tonight so Sabres win to give them a perfect 4-0 record when I don’t observe. 1 Quote

LETSTUCHINGO Posted November 1 Report Posted November 1 (edited) The Sabres have a good chance of going 3-0 over the next 3 games playing the likes of the Isles, Red Wings, and Sens!!! LETS GO BUFFALO!!!! Edited November 1 by LETSTUCHINGO 1 Quote
Idemo Buffalo Posted November 1 Report Posted November 1 We win and we are 4-1 in our last 5 games. Too early to say this is a must win game, but definitely the type of game that can set the tone for the month of November. 14 games this month. If we grab 20 of the 28 points that will be a great month. Quote

There is a few things going on here. Krebs will get ~16 to 18 minutes at 3C. He gets another look, similar to last year at the time of the Mitts trade. Quote
shrader Posted November 1 Report Posted November 1 I know it's back to back games, but there's the Lindy I remember. He does not like playing his backup. Quote
Weave Posted November 1 Report Posted November 1 Islanders have some muscle. Would like to see Gilbert in this one, but noone really deserves to sit down. Quote
Mr Peabody Posted November 1 Report Posted November 1 Excited to watch the new lines. Nice to see change and experimentation early in the season. 1 Quote

LTS Posted November 1 Report Posted November 1 As long as I don't have to hear the "Woo" Birds throughout the game I think I will count this as a victory, at least personally. The only thing more annoying that the people who love to do that throughout the game are the MSG producers who insist on having those microphone volumes mixed into the sound at a level that dominates the overall mix. Anyway... hope they win. This is one of those games where they could play down to the Isles level. I hope not. I'd like to see an absolute stomping. 2 1 1 Quote
LGR4GM Posted November 1 Author Report Posted November 1 (edited) Looks like they will sit Benson* through the weekend and bring him back in next week. This is smart as they start a stretch of a ton of games in short order versus the 2 they played in the last 11 days. Edit: *Benson Edited November 1 by LGR4GM 2 Quote

SwampD Posted November 1 Report Posted November 1 I hate Brock Nelson. He always scores on the Sabres. Quote
R_Dudley Posted November 1 Report Posted November 1 If this team is going to sniff the playoffs, I expect to see a team that bounces back after the last loss and uses the home ice advantage for a win. LFG Buffalo, make it so! Quote
CallawaySabres Posted November 1 Report Posted November 1 Would love to see 4-5 goals tonight and a revved up building for Friday night! 1 Quote

And it's amplified when the rest of the crowd is quiet and discouraged. It's the sound of losing. Seriously I'd toss that bum out. Quote
