Not sure I’m going to catch this one tonight. Going snowboarding, and then I have to get up early to get my head cut open again.

Ugh.  Hang in there sir.  We're thinking of you.

At this point, I think it’s mostly just to annoy those of us who don’t like it. I’ve never been able to stand what it represents.

This is a great test for us. Dallas was a great test and passed that one. Florida is still the best team in the league overall imho. Buffalo needs to play hard for 60.

This sentence is everything wrong with the Buffalo Sabres organization from top to bottom. They act like every game they don't "necessarily need to win" when in reality, they do.

This what happens when you abandon the MUST WIN mentality.

Funny stuff taking sides.

Every time I see it I’m reminded of bad graffiti

I'm reminded of bad graffiti every, single, time I watch The Warriors (1979). Love the film, one of my very favorites. But when Rembrandt tags the gravestone at the beginning of the film... it's just a single-line W. I could've spraypainted that.

You're just showing a hand and a paint can in the shot. Get a real '70s NYC graffiti artist. Have them develop a slick 30-second Warriors tag. Show them throw up the tag a couple times in the movie. Especially on the Orphans turf!

Could've used it as artwork for the film and packaging, etc. Just a really easy miss on the production's part.

I'm guessing that the producers of that movie never thought it was going to have the staying power that it has had.

Yes, they knew it a B-movie. But so many other of the little background details were nicely done. It's just always been a "oh, what a terrible tag, unbecoming of the awesomeness of The Warriors." And the character's name is Rembrandt! </end rant>

I know HCDG was trying to get everyone to play and to learn. Put them in new situations. All well and good. But it's nice to see quality HC Ruff line-matching and limiting ice time with a lead against the opposition from day 1. Trying to win is important. He hasn't done the "faceoff and change" yet that I've seen, but that's not needed this early in the season, and it'll come if there's a need.

So you’re just being a dick.

Thats as good a reason as any to do it. 😂

At least I’m getting out of having to cover this stupid ***** election. I’m hoping the drugs wear off around the 8th.

I am a political junkie. Like you, I'm exhausted. I voted early so I can tune out as the noise gets louder with more desperation added to it.

You will be in our thoughts and prayers.

You do know the actor who played Cochise died this week.

Warriors was the first movie I watched on VCR.

If the knock on Cozens is low hockey IQ ever since concussion then having Kubel on his line would help enormously.

Really don't believe that is Cozens issue as he was playing poorly prior to the concussion.  Personally chalked that up to trying to do too much to "earn" his contract and actually making himself play worse because he was 100% motor and as @mjd1001 states repeatedly he'd often motor himself right out of being where he should have been (and briefly was).

Actually, thinking about it a bit, a case could be made that the concussion was a result of his playing poorly and not vice versa.  At the point of the game that Cozens started the fight that got him the concussion there was no compelling logic to starting the fight there.  Other than him being really frustrated at how his team was playing in general that game and he himself particularly was playing.  He wanted to take out his frustration on somebody and chose poorly in picking an opponent.

And now see his major issue as simply having no faith in his shot whatsoever so he's doing the proverbial "gripping the stick too tight" and the more he does that the longer his shooting %age will remain right where it's currently at.  Maybe having Kubel causing traffic in front will help Dylan blind nut finding a squirrel (he's way past the blind squirrel finding a nut stage) his way into a goal which should help him tremendously moving forward.  (Especially if he can luck into another one by the end of the weekend.)

Good post, I think this is spot on top to bottom. We’re really going to take off once he gets going.

I hadn't heard that. Looks like he had a pretty darn solid 30-year run of TV work.

Well, in honor of Mr. Harris. Hey Sabres, you're gonna have to bop your way all the through this homestand. Right now, the Bastard Panthers are trying to cross your little piece of turf. But it's all your turf.

Sabres crush the Panthers tonight. I can dig it can you?
