Pretty sure the three game win streak didn’t happen until February

You say that like there was only a single 3 game win streak last year.  They were WAY better than that.  It actually happened TWICE.  But sadly, those were the longest strings of W's the entire season.

Your analogy is goofy. Being a .500 hockey team can't be interpreted either optimistically or pessimistically. It's not a good place to be.

Perhaps it's the criteria behind the statement?

It COULD be worse as far as a record goes.  But if the Sabres want to be in the playoffs it HAS to be better.

The answer to the thread title is “fleeting”.

I'd choose "wistful."

And now I feel like sitting next to a wishing well while staring into a meadow trying to recapture that euphoria of the Sabres spending a whole two hours of October in second place of the Atlantic division.

Will I ever feel that way again?!?!?

A riveting tale of how Sabres Nation made it through tense times in second place before returning to the tree lined streets and puffing barbecues of normalcy. Five Cusps up, raves Stoner of SabreSpace.

Also where's the snarky banner dude?
