The only way I see things changing is removing the common denominator the past 14 years, Pegula. Then you are looking at starting over again. 
 

All the young players and draft picks in the world mean nothing if you can’t build a team properly.

If Pegula cans Adams who does he bring in if he doesn’t trust NHL people?

I never said I was quitting, but for my mental health I’m not following this team this season with any effort because they haven’t earned that from me.

I have been a fan since 1980, through ups and many downs. I just cant muster the strength to sit through this crap again. 14 years with no playoffs is beyond the limit that a fanbase should have to sit through. 
 

The GM says there are no restrictions on spending yet they sit there with millions in cap space and hired a coach and refused to let him bring in a single guy of his own. They are not serious about winning and after 13 years without the playoffs that is absolutely unacceptable. 
 

I mean if this keeps going they may be playing in front of four thousand people after Christmas. 
 

It’s not 1-4-1, it’s the same game we have seen from the same team for years.

We have prospects who develop into good players, but by the time they reach free agency we still suck but have to trade them away because the team isn't where it should be. We always have assets  to develop but we seem to be stuck in limbo. What are good teams that evolve doing that we aren't?  I'm really confused as to why we can't do what other good teams seem to be able to do in a few years that we can't do in sooo many

Because you have a team and you have veterans and leaders that bring the culture along and then you insert one or two young guys in each year as they are ready. You don't strip teams down to nothing and try to fill a roster with all youngsters. I said this last year and it still holds, being the youngest team in the NHL is NOT an accomplishment. 

This is the first  year we've had a competent coach (who may or may not be past his prime, but still a competent coach) and there was a slight attempt to add grit and some vets but too little too late. Cozens is this year's whipping boy. With good reason, but all this time we've been just throwing him out there in a prominent role with no support. He's a mixed up kid now and has lost his game like Risto and others before him. All this time he should have been playing with two solid vets and if he was, I guarantee you he'd be a much better player and possibly an emerging star. We just keep making the same mistakes again and again.
