Idemo Buffalo Posted October 17 Report Posted October 17 Win tonight and that means we got 5 of the last 6 points available to us. Chicago is a very winnable game too. We could get back from this road trip in great shape. 4 Quote
LGR4GM Posted October 17 Report Posted October 17 If they lose tonight, Adams needs to replaced. Karmanos needs to immediately seek a trade for a real top 6 forward. Quote

GoPuckYourself Posted October 17 Report Posted October 17 We've preached accountability all offseason from the coaches to the players, if this is true we should see Dylan Cozens benched and Kulich get the opportunity at 2nd or 3rd line C tonight correct? Otherwise I feel like we are on the exact same trajectory as last season coaching-wise. 3 1 1 Quote

This is just armchair coach speak. Quote
USMCSnyper Posted October 17 Report Posted October 17 Must wins...in October. Great. I F'N hate this group. so frustrating. I want to fire Power into the sun. He is so bad. Cozens has been awful, as with Quinn. I am hoping that this is a transition period to a new system....but my goodness. Quote
Stads Posted October 17 Report Posted October 17 How do we all feel about a game the next night after an annoying loss? Do you need a little more to process the hatred or enjoy a new distraction right away? 1 Quote

Coach Lindy Ruff talked at nauseum about it in his introductory speech. What rock have you been under? Edited October 17 by GoPuckYourself Quote

They have every intention of being the deciders of who the best teams/champions are. 5-2 will be a thing of the past soon enough. .2789% will carry the day. Declaring a winner based on scoring of goals is arbitrary, capricious and hurtful. 1 1 Quote

The problem I have with them is when someone tries really really hard to come up with just a couple numbers, or a handful of numbers, to prove a point. -The 'eye test' doesn't always work, but SOMETIMES it is enough. -Simple stats don't always tell the whole story (Goals, assists, shots on goal, plus-minus) but they do tell part of a story and should not just be thrown away. -Advanced stats, well, In my opinion, they are no worse, but not any better than either of the above. If I SEE something with my eyes, can I back it up with some kind of data, (analytics or simple stats), or if I see something else with my eyes, can I disprove it with some kind of data? Even if you can do that, it shouldn't be the end of the story. It shouldn't do anymore than open up a larger discussion about the game, the style of play, the player, etc. I think good teams do that. They use simple stats, analytics, AND coaching/eye tests together. Sometimes it gets annoying when the 'math nerds' just throw out analytics and say "there, we are right, you are wrong, deal with it" Edited October 17 by mjd1001 3 Quote

WhenWillItEnd66 Posted October 17 Report Posted October 17 Ughhhhh.... another night. As much as i love Hockey, this teams seems to suck that right out of me. Hope for a win and some consistency (and not the losing kind) Quote

That day may come sooner than you think. Terry was liking sarcastic FB comments on the Lindy postgame presser last night. I’m not even kidding 🤣 1 1 Quote

Do you really have an issue with that statement? Quote
Mr Peabody Posted October 17 Report Posted October 17 On a positive note, look how much harder we are to play against. 1 Quote
