And by the way, I agree with your premise, that a lot of points, mostly assists, are nothing home to write about. 100% agree, but I was engaged in a discussion in a different thread when I pointed that out.

Assists being completely written off is faulty. There are a ton of assists we have already seen that involve players moving defenders or goalies to them and making great passes.

Never said they should be written off totally. Never.  Said they are less valuable in my opinion, most of the time, than goals.

Not sure about being smarter, that's probably the case but not positive about that; but when he finally learned to skate (not at an elite level, but good for a big man) he became a perennial AS.  He was SOOOOOO awkward when he 1st came up w/ the Aisles.
