HumanSlinky39 Posted October 17 Report Posted October 17 Oh good, back on special teams. Go ahead and put it on the board for the Pens. Quote
Turbo44 Posted October 17 Report Posted October 17 With all the. Breakaways and point blank shots they should have been up at least 5-1. They still have a big edge in high end chances. Peterka hits post on breakaway and the other two shoot right into the goalies stomach?? Have to put away opportunities 1 Quote
FrenchConnection44 Posted October 17 Report Posted October 17 I think/hope Cozens still can improve but he’s overpaid and I don’t have much confidence. Ever since getting pummeled in that fight last year it seems he just hasn’t had that same compete he has two seasons ago. He was really weak on that steal. Quote
#freejame Posted October 17 Report Posted October 17 This is essentially a Penguins broadcast. 4 3 Quote

triumph_communes Posted October 17 Report Posted October 17 Forgot penguins games are such zebra ***** fests. How could I forgotten this Half the penalties were dives and the challenge was done wrong. Quote
CallawaySabres Posted October 17 Report Posted October 17 The book has been out for over a decade on this team, put your back up goal and we will make him look like Dominic Hasek, too funny 😂 Quote

Oh, come on, our team deserves to lose every single game if they can’t get a power-play goal and especially when they give up shorthanded goals Quote

Wyldnwoody44 Posted October 17 Report Posted October 17 I meannnnn, this will be year 14. No way it won't be. Quote
FrenchConnection44 Posted October 17 Report Posted October 17 If we benched Cozens, I would not change up the 3rd line but would move Krebs in that position between Benson and Quinn. Krebs has compete and could gel with Benson. And he was originally a talented offensive prospect. 1 Quote
Wyldnwoody44 Posted October 17 Report Posted October 17 @LGR4GM Whats up with Quinn? You were the biggest supporter and he looks just as bad as Cozens. Recovering from achilles? Can't fit in Ruffs system? Quote

mjd1001 Posted October 17 Report Posted October 17 (edited) Ok, on the last Pittburgh goal...hustling back into the zone wasn't going to stop that goal, but you can see how is and who isn't hustling back. Look at the screenshots of the goal simulation below. When the turnover happens in the Pitt zone, Cozens, Benson, and Clifton are all in the same area. Clifton is already coming back so he almost gets back. Benson hustles back and was in position for a rebound, if there was one. Cozens? Lollygagging back, hes the last one back and WAY behind the play. Now, part of it is, once the puck was turned over he was trying to make a hit which took him out of the play (dumb hockey positionally). Even worse, he should have been called for a penalty. He led with the fore-arm on his hit, and following through almost as if he was throwing a punch. That is Risto-level hockey. There are times to make hits, and times to not make hits. Again, he followed through with the forearm/punch so it should have been a penalty on him. But lets say it wasn't, he took himself out of the play defensively if there was a turnover, and if the pens didn't get the puck, he was giving up a prime spot in front of the net, giving up offensive positioning to make a hit a second after the puck was gone. Hes just playing dumb hockey. Edited October 17 by mjd1001 1 Quote
