Believer Posted October 14 Report Posted October 14 31 minutes ago, Pimlach said: Sure is. But if I’m Lindy I’m not too happy with Captain Dahlin’s low hit, then he popped him when he got up, the he threw a few big haymakers. There was tension between them from an earlier hit I would tell Dahlin to save it for the games. But for now, it’s a sign of life. I’m okay with Dahlin evening the score with the hip check, his specialty. Not okay with his several haymakers after the score was settled. Bush league, immature, and unworthy of a Captain, imo. Save those for defending a teammate in a game, an act worthy of a Captain. 1 1 1 1 1 Quote

Tuch makes a cautious attempt to show up and everyone else is playing like they are holding a carton of eggs. Last season when Clifton lit up a Devil he was a marked man for a game. I wanna see them turn this ***** outward instead of doing it with guys they are comfortable around. JJP was a clean hit IMO, maybe a little late but it wasn't an egregious attempt to injure. You answer a clean hit by delivering a clean hit. These fake fights after a clean hit nonsense needs to stop. 3 1 Quote

Night Train Posted October 14 Report Posted October 14 Krebs does resemble Marchand. Hit might gave triggered a Tourettes moment in Dahlin. " You little bastard ! " 1 Quote

Cascade Youth Posted October 14 Report Posted October 14 This is actually the most interesting thing that has happened with this team in several years. 1 4 Quote

RangerDave Posted October 14 Report Posted October 14 The "Bickering Sabres"? Hey, it worked for one Buffalo team years ago. Maybe it'll work again for another? 2 Quote

I'm busy here today with Canadian Thanksgiving activities and didn't get to post until now. I guess I can't make the "There goes the country club joke" I came here to make after you already posted this.😀 Quote

Carmel Corn Posted October 15 Report Posted October 15 IMHO this is a positive sign of life. An angry hockey team is a better playing hockey team. A "country club" hockey team is lazy and uninspired. 1 Quote
PerreaultForever Posted October 15 Report Posted October 15 Now just bring the intensity to the games and take it out on the other team........ I'm with Lindy, no issues here. Nice change of pace from the "we're all having fun" practices under Granato. Quote
That Aud Smell Posted October 15 Report Posted October 15 On reflection: I like it. By his actions, Dahlin is staking a claim and making a proclamation: We’re not fu**king around anymore. We’re gonna train like we play. And don’t come lollygagging over the blue line because I will put you on your ass. The team needs a captain with some sneer. It looks like they have one. I bet Dahlin disables the locker room’s bluetooth speaker next. 🤣 1 Quote

Not a fighter but he would engage in some kinda dirty play if I remember correctly. Also, he was like 6'4" and 240+ lbs. As far as current players, Andreas Englund? The guy doesn't play much, but I swear I have seen/heard him getting in a couple fights a month. But other than that, I can't think of anyone else. Quote
