Brawndo Posted October 6, 2024 Author Report Posted October 6, 2024 Boston has placed Brandon Bussi and Jiri Patera on waivers Quote
PerreaultForever Posted October 6, 2024 Report Posted October 6, 2024 lol, Sabres probably felt safe to waive Reimer knowing Boston wouldn't claim him. Poor Bussi. He was good in preseason and probably thought he was finally getting a shot. If I'm a team with iffy goaltending I'd claim him. 1 Quote

Flyers goaltending is a mess, I don't know if claiming Bussi would change that, but I am not surprised if they do. 1 Quote
pastajoe Posted October 6, 2024 Report Posted October 6, 2024 Isles waived former Sabre Hudson Fasching. When he was in college I thought he’d be a great scoring power forward. 1 Quote

Figured a good battle-winning, board-working 3rd liner. Didn't exactly pan out that way, but he is still playing 8 years later and is likely to be an injury call-up once again. Quote

Pretty sure I remember a story of his and a special needs sibling that was pretty moving, too. That’s all I’ve got on the guy. Quote

In The Buff Posted October 7, 2024 Report Posted October 7, 2024 forgive me if this is a stupid question but what does this mean for our goalie situation? Does this cement Levi as the #2? I had hoped Levi would be getting the lions share of work in Rochester, just to get more reps. Idk if its ideal for his development to ride the pine, nor for UPL to see the heir apparent waiting to take your place. Competition can be good, so hopefully they'll push each other & become better versions of themselves. Lord knows we'll need them to Quote
inkman Posted October 9, 2024 Report Posted October 9, 2024 The Lucas Rousek era came and went like a fart in the wind. He still may end up a serviceable bottom six player but I had tempered hope for the guy. Seemed like a player the Sabres have few of. Quote

Whether he’s 1 or 2 will depend on how they both play. But there is a chance Reimer comes back. Quote

He just did not do anything after that. Quote
gilbert11 Posted October 10, 2024 Report Posted October 10, 2024 Is there any Reim-er reason in waiving Reimer? He was going to provide veteran depth. Are they bringing back Houser and/or Tokarski? 1 Quote
