pastajoe Posted September 27 Report Posted September 27 Tokarski still has a Sabres goalie mask. 😀 Quote
RochesterExpat Posted September 27 Report Posted September 27 From a prospects perspective, Rosen, Novikov and Helenius have played well. I haven’t been impressed with Östlund this game, but he hasn’t done anything to really disappoint either. From an Amerks perspective, Jobst continues to impress and I’ve really liked Dunne. Not really a lot to takeaways from this game otherwise. Baby Sabres (Daggers?) have been playing pretty well considering. Quote
Flashsabre Posted September 27 Report Posted September 27 Give this group a ton of credit. They work their cans off, have drawn a ton of penalties. Helenuis has taken a couple big hits but bounces right up. He has looked very confident with the puck on his stick. I think Dunne will be a good physical leader in Rochester for them. Rathbone looks like a solid AHL dman. Novikov and Metsa should be their top pair in Rochester. Add Ryan Johnson and that is a good top 3. There will be some growing pains with Komarov transitioning to the AHL but he will be a good one once he gets his feet under him. Not sure why they signed Sandstrom. Not much confidence in him. Quote
pastajoe Posted September 27 Report Posted September 27 This has the feel that despite all the Sabres effort, the Sens will score a go ahead goal and an empty net to win. Quote

Billznut Posted September 27 Report Posted September 27 This game was lost in the first period when Ullmark made 3-4 point blank stops. Amerks/Sabres should have had at least a 4-1 lead after the first. Quote
Stads Posted September 27 Report Posted September 27 I knew I shouldn't have taken the Sabres on the moneyline tonight. Guess my kids will have food next week Quote

K-9 Posted September 27 Report Posted September 27 That shot by Rosen had "pace" as the saying goes. 1 Quote
DarthEbriate Posted September 27 Report Posted September 27 Rosen got some decent velocity on that one. Quote
DarthEbriate Posted September 27 Report Posted September 27 Too bad about the Ullmark wall, but nice regulation game by the Amerks. 1 minute ago, RochesterExpat said: Faceoffs matter (sometimes) Jobst with both draw wins at the end? Quote
Freeezo Posted September 27 Report Posted September 27 Nice pick Helenius. Looks like a nhl player to me Quote
