bob_sauve28 Posted September 23 Report Posted September 23 Dunleavy, you missed the break away there of Krebs? Wow Quote
bob_sauve28 Posted September 23 Report Posted September 23 Owen! Looks like a natural goal scorer Quote

For some reason not on Sportsnet today and in Canada they block you for Sabres.com unless you do the VPN thing (no idea why since it's not on Sportsnet, seems dumb as it's a promotional offering) I have found it on a sketchy European site. mjd1001 Posted September 23 Report Posted September 23 I'm trying to see if the Power play is a lot different than last year, but I'm only 1/2 watching because I have other things going on with my computer besides the game, I can't really tell yet. Quote
Taro T Posted September 23 Report Posted September 23 And now we know what the deal was with the audio. When Dunleavy is on a break, so is the Sound Engineer. And then some. Quote

mjd1001 Posted September 23 Report Posted September 23 For 2 goals being scored and the first period isn't even over, this is a pretty boring and uneventful game so far, on both sides. Quote
mjd1001 Posted September 23 Report Posted September 23 Benson hit pretty hard 2 times in about 30 seconds and went down to the ice. Its great he doesn't shy away from contact, but with his size he needs to learn how to avoid some of those hits when they are directed at him. Quote
JoeSchmoe Posted September 23 Report Posted September 23 Game doesn't work for me even with a VPN saying I'm in Buffalo. 1 Quote

mjd1001 Posted September 23 Report Posted September 23 (edited) And Benson hammered again. Teams are targeting him intentionally, or he needs to avoid contact better. He has been hammered by C-bus players 3 times so far just in the 1st period, going down to the ice on 2 of them. He's like 5'9 and 155-160 right? Its great he wants to play the physical game, but he is taking a beating. Get hit too often and knocked to the ice by the 6'1-6'2, , 210+ lb guys and its going to eventually be a problem. repster Posted September 23 Report Posted September 23 Doesn’t work here either and I’m supposed to be in the local market (albeit on the Canadian side) as well. geo blocked Quote
mjd1001 Posted September 23 Report Posted September 23 (edited) 1st period, the Forwards look dis-interested. Not much hitting, no playmaking. Byram and Power both look more comfortable handling the puck than they did last year though. Its only on a couple of shots, but Levi giving up some rebounds. Edited September 23 by mjd1001 Quote

Sloppy, nothing creative, no great saves, not much hitting when you take out the Columbus-on-Benson hits. Edited September 23 by mjd1001 Quote

Nah, had both the goals been BJ goals, then it could've been the worst 20 minutes. ;) Edited September 23 by Taro T Quote
mjd1001 Posted September 23 Report Posted September 23 sloppy point play so far on the pp Power and Byram look like the 2 best Sabres on the ice so far. Quote
Taro T Posted September 23 Report Posted September 23 The team's energy level seems to be lower when Tuch isn't in the lineup. (Doesn't help that Dahlin isn't in there either.) Quote
Sabres73 Posted September 23 Report Posted September 23 Maybe it was the opening honouring the Gaudreaus - I'd be feeling a little sad and reflective too. Let's pick it up boys! 1 Quote
Brawndo Posted September 23 Author Report Posted September 23 Benson just got a two minute penalty for roughing Quote
bob_sauve28 Posted September 23 Report Posted September 23 Benson gets a penalty? For what, getting attacked? Quote
Taro T Posted September 23 Report Posted September 23 Good to see <_< the refs still have whatever resentment they had for Benson last year. (If we weren't EVER good enough to play in the NHL, why should YOU at all of 5'9" and 165# get to do so as a mere teenager. Well, we'll show you. Off to the box with you.) Quote
Rip Titwide Posted September 23 Report Posted September 23 It seems to me that this Benson nonsense is a pretty good place for a guy like Gilbert to apply his particular set of skills. Quote
