LGR4GM Posted Thursday at 09:33 PM Report Posted Thursday at 09:33 PM Senators rush prospect to NHL, everyone loses their minds. Yakemchuk ruined forever, career ends in ruin. Lol 😜 Quote
PerreaultForever Posted 22 hours ago Report Posted 22 hours ago Hellebuyck and Ullmark are both very good goalies who do not elevate for the playoffs and also have trouble tracking the puck with the extra speed you get come playoff time. Some have it, some don't. This has always been the way in hockey. 1 Quote

Brawndo Posted 4 hours ago Report Posted 4 hours ago Mike Sullivan and the Penguins have agreed to part ways. Boston or New York? Quote

Won't happen, but Sullivan being brought in as the HC would add IMHO a lot of hope to the fan base. Couple that with Karmanos becoming the GM and maybe we're onto something. As it seems Pegula absolutely won't fire Adams, bump him to PoHO (making it a primarily ceremonial role whose real duties are attending league meetings and running interference for Karmanos) and make Ruff a Senior Advisor using his connections when Karmanos' already extensive connections aren't enough to get a deal done. 'Tis still the season of hope. (At least for another handful of days.) Quote
Brawndo Posted 4 hours ago Report Posted 4 hours ago I wonder if the lure of being a Massachusetts Native who played for BU gives the Bruins an advantage. Plus his daughter and grandson live in Boston, and oh he would be able to coach his son in law Charlie McAvoy 1 1 Quote

That feels like the fit for me. Apparently he wanted him a few years back but he wasn’t available. On a side note, I’m not sure how I feel about coaching family. I worry about the conflict of interest there… especially if it’s the typical in-law relationship😁 Quote
Archie Lee Posted 2 hours ago Report Posted 2 hours ago Im seeing some speculation that with rising NHL revenues, and with high-profile OG6 teams looking for coaches, Sullivan may reset the market for coaching contracts. Probably safe to assume that the Sabres aren’t going to pivot from hiring the old local guy with no options who will take a two year deal for low $$$ and agree to keep all existing assistants, to a hot pursuit of the man about to reset what a top level NHL coach makes. True. BUT, the guy just below ownership in the overall organization comes from the NY Giants organization and also was apparently instrumental in getting the Hornets name back for the Bounceyball team in Carolina and they also went out and added another tickets/facilities management guy in the Sabres organization. It's POSSIBLE that they MIGHT put the bug in the ear of ownership that getting a top notch coach who isn't on the verge of retirement could go a long way towards making THEIR jobs significantly easier. (Not expecting it; but it is the point of the season where hope reigns supreme.) Quote
CallawaySabres Posted 6 minutes ago Report Posted 6 minutes ago Sullivan will go to the Rangers and they will make a deep run in the playoffs next year. If Buffalo was a real organization, they would ship Ruff to the front office and give Sullivan a blank check. It is the only move that could have a chance at making fans believe there is hope next year. Quote
