NJ has no desire to trade their young franchise player and young offensive dman brother. EP40 isn’t even a starter. Just trade Quinn to NJ and get something for him instead of losing him for nothing. The injury is overplayed but Jack Hughes is also injured and some believe injury prone. All I'm saying is I think Rutherford will TRY to do this. NJ may prefer the reverse absolutely. But you never know. Some offers are hard to refuse. Quote

If they aren't trading Hughes, the Canucks best assets are: Good veteran 2nd-pairing defencemen Hronek and Petterson on long-term deals Good veteran 2nd-line winger Debrusk on a long-term deal Veteran soon-to-be UFAs Conor Garland and Thatcher Demko Good 2nd-tier prospects Tom Willander and Jonathan lekkerimaki. The 14th overall pick in this year's draft 45-point former star centre Elias Pettersson and the 7 years and 80-million-plus left on his contract. What mix of those players would you take for a 23-year-old 1C with 5 years left on an $8M deal? Now how much more would they have to add to also acquire a 21-year-old defenceman who has already topped 40 points twice in his young career. Make New Jersey an offer they cant refuse. Quote

How many picks do they want? I am not saying it's viable. I'm just saying Rutherford will try. I don't follow NJ so I have no idea how happy or unhappy they are with things or what their direction will be going forward. Maybe they have no interest at all. Maybe they make an offer for Quinn. Maybe Sabres should offer their whole roster both ways and bring the 3 Hughes boys here. lol, who the f knows. Quote

DarthEbriate Posted yesterday at 01:21 PM Report Posted yesterday at 01:21 PM (edited) The Kraken finished 6th overall in draft order. They’ve hired JBott as their GM. They’ve also just reduced ticket prices for next year in some sections. I think they’re planning for a mini dip-pivot to go after McKenna. They get a top forward or 1D this draft, then get another next year. They’re looking at San Jose and getting worried. Edited yesterday at 01:21 PM by DarthEbriate Quote
