If Pitt gets to DRAFT YET ANOTHER generational superstar, I will burn that town down. Mario, Jags, Sid, and Geno are enough talent for 300 years of a hockey franchise's life ... STOP THE STEAL! The Canucks are the king of crazy games this year with this one being the topper. What I can't understand is all the hype about Stars winning the cup. How can they survive without Heiskanen? Lyubushkin is your top line D man. I just don't see them surviving that throughout a playoff run. Quote

shrader Posted Wednesday at 04:40 PM Report Posted Wednesday at 04:40 PM Landeskog loaned to the AHL for conditioning. This will expire after the season has ended. It by some chance he plays in the playoffs, that’s going to be the longest manipulation of LTIR we have ever seen, missing 3 years of hockey. Seriously though, it’s a great story if he can come back. I just love the convenient timing of the possible return. Quote

How is he going to survive NHL playoff hockey after being gone so long? Quote

They had a long-timer coach in Dick Umile who kept his job despite never doing much. I hoped that would change when he retired. It didn't. Quote

They were very good under Umile, even if they were the university of no hardware. Hockey East had their big 4 era during that time with BU/BC/UNH/Maine. Those days are gone now, and NIL in particular has pretty much killed that. Maine has bounced back in the last couple years, so maybe UNH can at some point. There's just not much draw to that program right now. Compare his time to any other coach. He's by far the best they ever had. Quote

UNH has it's fans but it's not like there is a rabid fanbase in-state. Their football team is actually quite successful in FCS, often getting ranked and making the NCAA tournament.
