PerreaultForever Posted February 21 Report Posted February 21 If I'm Ottawa I'm trading Brady Tkachuk now while his value is sky high. After you watch how USA he was and how emotional it seems pretty obvious that he will leave as a free agent same way his brother did and go play for an American team. They are dreaming if they think they can keep him happy in Ottawa. Quote

HumanSlinky39 Posted February 22 Report Posted February 22 Savoie just got his first NHL point with a beauty of a backhand pass from behind the net to Draisaitl. 1 Quote

You mean they didn’t bring him up and put him on a line with the Oiler equivalent of Tyson Jost and Brandon Biro? Quote

Looked good in the first period but playing with Draisaitl didn't hurt him that's for sure. Flyers shut down all the Oilers in the third though. The Russians were well rested . Quote

He has scored a lot of empty neck goals in his career but from inside his own blue line he almost put a dead center into the net...maybe 150 feet away If the Sabres players had half the accuracy that Ovi has even shooting at an empty net, they'd probably have a few more empty net goals and a couple more wins because of it. 41 games.. half of a season.. 29 goals. At his age. He's scoring at a nearly 60 goal Pace. Edited February 23 by mjd1001 1 Quote
Wyldnwoody44 Posted February 24 Report Posted February 24 He's gonna do it this year isn't he? Do we think he'll retire if he does? He seems to have some more years in him, possibly making the new record nearly unattainable 99 probably thought his was too tho Quote

PromoTheRobot Posted February 24 Report Posted February 24 (edited) I'm going to be in Las Vegas this week and I scored a cheap seat for the Golden Knights v Blackhawks game Thursday. I've always wanted to see a game there. Do they still put on the big show before games? Edited February 24 by PromoTheRobot Quote

Multiple "food truck" style things and a DJ. There's no shortage of things in the area to do as well... naturally. 1 Quote

And then pregame the actual Golden Knight skates out and defeats an effigy of the whoever the opponent is? Edited February 24 by PromoTheRobot Quote
Wyldnwoody44 Posted February 24 Report Posted February 24 When I went to a game there years ago, I actually cut through Ceasers (which is a cool @ss casino as well) and it was like a concert and a show before the game. Super nice atmosphere there for sure. And I dislike the city Vegas, so that's saying something.. 1 Quote

There has been no word or even speculation of his retirement, even if he passes Gretzky in goals. 1 Quote

It was very entertaining. Quote
mjd1001 Posted February 26 Report Posted February 26 Washington loses tonight, but Ovechkin with the only goal for them on the PP. 30 goals for him in 42 games. Unless he hits a major wall or gets injured, he just might get the record this season. 11 more to tie, 12 to pass Gretzky with 23 games left. He needs a goal every other game. Quote
mjd1001 Posted February 26 Report Posted February 26 I also haven't been paying attention to the West, but Edmonton is fading a bit. Lost 4 in a row and 6 of the last 8....and the 2 wins in there were both in OT. They haven't won a game in regulation in 9 games. 22 goals allowed in the last 4 games. Every team has ups and downs, but they need to get some better goaltending and/or play better defensively or they are going to be in a bit of trouble come playoff time. 1 Quote
