The rest of the team up their games because of the superstar effect. Tage could be Eichel and then Tuch can be Reinhart and then UPL can be Ullmark.... Then we'll make the playoffs, with those 3, who wouldn't miss.... Oh... Wait. Quote
French Collection Posted December 8 Report Posted December 8 (edited) Leafs broadcast going on about how good Marner is. Yes, he’s having the best season of his career. He’s a UFA looking to cash in like his buddies Matthews and Nylander, coincidence? They forget that he disappears in the playoffs. I hope they pay him and then he flops again in the spring. The concept of the sabres making the playoffs has got to be a joke... the question is do we get this first over all pick in the draft .... aaaaaagain Quote

PerreaultForever Posted December 8 Report Posted December 8 Saw an interesting post on twitter that showed that after taxes, Shesterkin will actually take home 200,000 less than Oettinger in Dallas. Some states really do have an advantage. Quote

PerreaultForever Posted December 10 Report Posted December 10 At least the Rangers seem to be a trainwreck. That is making me a little happy. Quote
PerreaultForever Posted December 10 Report Posted December 10 I'm going to watch Columbus Philly today. See if either team looks like it's on a better rebuild path or not. Quote
ASlugAbove Posted December 11 Report Posted December 11 Currently watching Calgary play the last place predators. The preds don’t look like we do. They look so much better. Fast, physical, crash the net, setup in the zone. Just couldn’t score to tie it at the end. They would beat us 5-0 Quote
PerreaultForever Posted December 11 Report Posted December 11 Well aside from the fights Bruins got the crap kicked out of them tonight. They could still fall to the bottom after all. Philly looks WAY BETTER than Columbus. Michkov is a wizard. Quote
repster Posted December 11 Report Posted December 11 NJ outshot Toronto 27-6 after two periods. Yes, you read that right 27-6. They were skating circles around the Leafs. At the same time Matthews had 3 breakaways and only got 1 shot on goal. 6’6 Stolarz absolutely goalied the Devils. It was ridiculous. In the third, it was a little more even, but It just seemed like a matter of time before NJ would break through. Nope. NJ had the puck most of the OT, but couldn’t make it happen. Blocked shot gave Matthews another breakaway and this time he made no mistake. He was so smug after he scored. Another miserable night of hockey as the Leafs should’ve been dead and buried. Quote

He’s going to be the best player out of that draft. 1 Quote

Yup, teams were afraid he wasn't going to come over. I do remember there was draft talk earlier about who was better Michkov or Bedard, but then the Russia thing had his stock drop and Philly took the chance or had inside info. Who knows, Bobby Clarke has a relationship with some of those old Russian icons so maybe he got inside info. Right now, Michkov is definitely better than Bedard. He passes like Gretzky. Seems to have incredible vision and puts impossible passes right on tape. Fiesty like Benson too. Maybe even more so. Flyers protect him though so he's maybe more fearless. 1 Quote

As "not good" as Filthy is, Michkov's supporting cast is practically an all-star team compared to Bedard's. Not trying to take anything away from the dazzling displays Michkov is putting on, I just really see we could see Bedard with any talent around him. Quote
WhenWillItEnd66 Posted December 11 Report Posted December 11 The Boston Bruins have made a roster move, placing defenseman Alec Regula on waivers. Maybe someone we should claim. Big young RHD. Quote

Bedard will be good but I think Michkov is special. He's elevating the talent around him more than the Philly "talent" is supporting him. 2 hours ago, WhenWillItEnd66 said: The Boston Bruins have made a roster move, placing defenseman Alec Regula on waivers. PerreaultForever Posted December 13 Report Posted December 13 It was depressing watching a Detroit broadcast of the Detroit Philly game and they brought up Risto's plus minus and Redmond goes "how'd he ever get that bad?" and the other guy goes "spent some time in Buffalo" and they both busted out laughing hysterically.. Yes, we are the joke of the league, even to the garbage teams. 1 Quote

Yes, we are the joke of the league, even to the garbage teams. What's worse than being laughed at is being ignored. Buffalo has become the hockey world's invisible franchise because no one cares about it. A generation of losing will do that to you. The biggest problem isn't outsiders laughing at this clownish franchise. It's that most of its local market is apathetic to this lame franchise. Freaking pathetic! Quote
