Night Train Posted November 8 Report Posted November 8 Very surprised how down the Atlantic Division is early on as a whole. Panthers and then a bunch of teams hovering around .500. Quote

But Atlantic is also the division where teams have most preassure on themselves, and that might not always come out in a good way. Quote
bg17 Posted November 10 Report Posted November 10 I loved Skinner when he was here but was glad they moved on. He’s got three goals in 15 games and had the least amount of ice time for Edmonton last night. Quote

bob_sauve28 Posted November 10 Report Posted November 10 The Bruins, who have a point in the standings above us, have a negative goal differential of -12. They have scored only 40 goals and given up 52. They have also played two more games. We are at 50 GF and 46 GA. -12 seems really strange. A couple of really bad games I guess. They really do not score a lot though. In other news, Tampa has lost four straight Quote

That might be the first time I've said that in about 15 years but it's definitely true. You want a stat, Bruins had ZERO shots on goal against Ottawa in the third period last game. ZERO. They are an offensive disaster. Unless they've just quit on Monty and they want him fired or some bs and there's some weird flip I think it's finally over. They're currently only better than maybe Montreal in the division. 1 Quote

I thought this was going to happen last year but they managed to stay relevant one more year. Maybe the Ullmark/Swayman mojo was a good thing and Debrusk contributed some. Their issues do not make me sad. 1 Quote

If you key in on shutting down Pasta they are really hard up to score. 1 Quote

If Lysell had even been Kulich level they might be okay but he's just not NHL ready (if ever). Korpisalo's been better than Swayman so it's not on the goalie tandem. It's a combination of many things ending or going wrong at the same time. Zadorov ya, big disappointment there. I was wrong on him too. After watching him in the playoffs last year I thought he'd finally got it but no, he's just a big dumb guy. Quote

GMs are drawn by the size and strength and think their coach will make him better. I won’t call him dumb but his hockey IQ is not high. Being paiired with Risto vs another teams top line would be hard to watch. 1 Quote

CallawaySabres Posted November 13 Report Posted November 13 Ottawa and Boston both with wins last night. Need another 3 game win streak just to keep pace for 8th. Quote

Ottawa looked good, but Toronto looked bad. Boston played one good period and that's all they needed so that tells you the Blues can be beaten with a little effort. Quote

One can hope, I've been to 2 games this season, the Kings game and the Habs game recently. Both games they had a chance at 1 point at the least, and both times they vomited over themselves with bad D and penalties late in the 3rd. I think that's just who this team is 1 Quote
