The thing about Kulich is not the finish. Kid has a fantastic shot and can find the space to deliver. That’s a given.

Its always been about the rest of the game.

His strength and doggedness on the puck last night was not something we’ve seen from him on a daily basis.

And the question remains: he can do it against Charlie Elick at the Harbour Centre, but can he do it in the AHL playoffs against the Syracuse Crunch, or during the NHL stretch drive in Boston with Charlie McAvoy in his face?

I like that the organization is really focused on telling him “good” is not enough to get you to Buffalo, you need to dominate.

(PS, Vinnie Prospal is a press conference all-star. Love listening to that guy)

For sure, as goes with every young skilled player. That "rest of the game" is always the last thing that comes for a player.

Jiri has played 136 AHL games and is just 20 years old. He doesn't turn 21 until the very end of the Sabres season. Sabres have only 2 games left (and playoffs) after his 21st birthday. Lance Lysowski said Prospal says he think it'd be in Jiri's best interest to keep him in the AHL for more work. He doesn't see the need to rush him.

Sabres are taking 30 players overseas for camp and the game vs. Red Bull Munich ahead of the season, im sure he will be one of the 30 on that plane but i don't know how long he sticks around after they return.
