I think the Sabres are every bit as good, but to say they are better based just on that is not the whole story either ... I know the Sabres had injuries too, but Emery lost a bunch of games at the end of the season without Chara, Redden and Phillips ... again, not saying Ottawa is better, but I'm sure they could produce some stat like ...

Senators with Chara, Redden and Phillips: .700

Sabres without Connolly: .550

Those three are playing, Connolly is not .... does that mean Ottawa is better? No, it's two even teams .... that's why they play a series ... let's see who wins ...
