And on another note, why would any player choose a PTO over an actual contract?

means nobody offered them one.

Good question.  We don’t.  But here we are sitting well below the cap.

PTOs don't count to the cap. Only if you offer them a contract from that PTO and those are almost always league minimum.

Yes, and I'm pretty annoyed about that situation -- but that doesn't mean that certain posters who are inclined towards #hammymath can just repeat a piece of speculation and thereby magically morph that speculation into fact.

What are you talking about? The speculation was from a credible source aka Mike Harrington and no one said this was fact.  That’s what a question mark means in the thread title, or didn’t they teach you what a question mark means?

You’ve said twice in this thread that KA tried and failed to sign him to a PTO.  The article you linked doesn’t say that.

Humor dude.  He can’t sign top FAs, can’t complete a major trade,  and now he can’t sign someone to a PTO.

Odds are that KA had conversations with the Agent which is where the rumor probably came from.

Well, at least this post didn't contain another mournful ode to Mittelstadt.

A moderator publicly criticizing what a veteran poster painstakingly takes the time to detail day in, day out, adding content to the board.

Were you guys posting about Casey when you made this statement? I thought it was supposed to be about the post, not the poster?

Obnoxious
