Which doesn’t answer the question. 😉

There’s been a moose in Rochester since the ‘80s. You didn’t say which kind.

I didn't realize the auctions for the jerseys would be over so soon 😞 Usually the Sabres stuff is up for a few days after the event. Weak sauce.

That is weird. Still for some good money. $2,500 for Levi's jersey.

Branstrom has been quite the addition to the Amerks. Hit the ground running.

I thought Buffalo would treat Branstrom like the new Bryson but nope! Just gonna run that back.

Maybe he’s not interested in signing right now. He seems like he could be in a spot where he might want to go back to Sweden if he’s unsure about an NHL job being available.

Hopefully we sign Brannstrom so we can collect all the Brysons.  Any other Brysons we can trade for?

Amerks up 2-0, 5 minutes into their game vs the Bridgeport Islanders. Metza and Jobst.

3-0 Roch after 1. Fiddler-Shultz on the PP. Bridgeport goal disallowed for shoveling Levi into the net.

4-0. Östlund with a shortie. 5-0! Dunne. Halfway though the game. These Isles are a mess.

New goalie? No problem. Swaggert makes it 6-0. 5 left in 2P.

Ha, I love reading this well after the fact. It makes it look like they’re scoring at a rapid fire pace. They probably could right now.

Amerks have chased Syracuse goalie Halverson for the third time this season. Up 3-0 after two periods. Östlund with two more helpers.

Remember earlier in this thread when folks were worried about Östlund and his size, health, and getting up to AHL speed? He had 2 points in his first thirteen games this season.

Since then, he has 30 points in 29 games.

I love it.  So many people on this board were low on him.  There were prospect rankings and they would put him so low.

He now plus 20 on +/- leads all Amerk forwards. And all AHL rookies.

He reminds me of Aho in that he excels everywhere. PP, PK, defensively, scoring, playmaking. Not sure how he is at the faceoff dot but he is an all around player who you can throw over the boards in all situations.

I think the big breakthrough for him was that early in the season he was so focused on D play that he wasn’t putting up points and Leone finally told him to be selfish and step up offensively.  He has taken off since.

The Amerks site and different sites have Östlund listed as a left-wing. Does anyone know if he's playing left-wing down there or is he playing center? is he a center or a lw longterm?

Hmm, I haven't watched Rochester lately but thought he was playing center. In the Swedish league he was a center but I think when he went from Jr's to SHL he might have spent some time at wing.

Idk if he's a center longterm unless he adds a lot of strength. He's only 5'11" and he's still light but he's got the details and skating to be a center. Someone who watches Rochester more would have more info.
