October and November look to be pretty manageable. If they are out of 8th by December 1, I assume they will be finishing bottom 10 in the league again.

Except for possible issues of jet lag after the trip, they are set for a potential fast start.

The out west trip is theoretically where they bond as a team.  (Preferably after a good start at home.)

I thought this has been known for a few years and it was because we prioritize weekend games over weeknight games, which condenses the schedule. I could be making this up entirely though.

What's really interesting is the Devils don't have the same disadvantage.

Thought getting hit that hard would've been partially a function of only playing 2 games in the 1st week & a half or so.  Guess not.
