Jeff Skinner is signing with Edmonton

Said this in another thread when Skinner's signing was just a rumor.

So, with Foegele going to the team that they always seem to play in the 1st round and Skinner joining their squad, it looks like somehow they decided the problem vs FLA was too many 2 way players and not enough offense?

That seemed inevitable.

Ride shotgun with McDavid for a big year, finally make the playoffs, and make up the money you just lost with a big free agent contract.

And probably win another cup in the process.

Regardless of whether the move works out for the Sabres or not, you know much we’re going to get roasted for this one.

He just lost? He's basically still making 9 million this year.

Now... just go sign Henrique in retaliation.

And yes, this does mean Skinner is going to finally play in a playoff game (health permitting), and win a Cup.

Expect your 1st contention is almost positively a given.  The latter not so much.  Because ...

He won’t help the Oilers win the Cup.

He is the anthesis of playoff hockey.

This.
