Are we trading Krebs then? Please don't tell me Krebs is going to be the 3C.

No, Krebs is the insurance policy if Adams can’t find a 2/3C in trade.

Well, we all wanted, and expected, a major renovation in the bottom 6.  No surprise so far.

As long as we still fill the 3C role, I don't think anyone who wanted the bottom six revamped should be complaining.

And if you didn't want the 4th line revamped - "what the heck were you watching last season?"

So they saw Washington sneak in and went after the only line on the Caps that was actually good at their role?

It was Dowd I thought they were after and he”s the only one they didn’t get.

His numbers don’t really show it, but I remember him as an annoying *****.

What do you like about him?

He’s the other ridiculous d zone start guy who managed to have a positive +/- despite it. Shutdown specialist. We stole from Washington the only thing that kept them competitive last year

We will be tougher to play against this year, I hope then

Another VERY fast guy. With the exception of Zucker (who isn't fast, at least not anymore), Kubel, Lafferty, Malenstyn, all have or are bordering on elite speed.  Sure, they don't have the offensive ability to go with it, but they are all very fast skaters.

You want to develop a 3rd or 4th line with a great forcheck, I guess this is how they are doing it.

Talking heads probably won’t even mention it yet the impact it will have on the team will be significant

Until proven otherwise (ie he signs), this is a guy using Buffalo to get a better deal. Hence the vague rumor floated.

It appears that the 4th line got re-made, for sure.

(It actually appears that we may have 1.5+ 4th lines?)

Lafferty is not a great answer as 4C in my view.  Better as a 4th line winger who can play C if needed (ie: a tougher/grittier Girgs).  Unless Malenstyn is the C?  I still think we are a C short.
