Have to overpay to get players to come here.  Disappointing, but no surprise.  Adams probably gave him a NMC so he can’t get anything for him at the deadline

Overpay an impact player by $3m, not a bottom 6. This just makes you look stupid.

Atleast it’s only 1 year and shows terry is willing ti spend to end this god forsaken drought.

He hasn’t even made up what he saved by cutting Skinner. He hasn’t proved *****.

Don't really like this deal.  No real issue with adding Zucker, per se, but it seems like they are worried about committing to this type of player on this AAV beyond a year, out of concern it will impact future deals for Quinn, Peterka, Byram, Levi, etc.  We could have a player like Foegele in the same role, who is younger and better, if we would commit to term.  Can always make moves down the road to find space or trade a good young player for picks/prospects and promote your own prospects who are ready.

Theoretically... assuming he has any interest in signing in Buffalo. Perhaps he has no interest.

Our top 6 better all be elite

That is NOT the 3rd line of a Cup team.  Playoffs sure.  That’s possible

Krebs is 3C so far

These additions look reasonable so far, we should have a good 4th line.

Im not sure I’d bet on additions beyond shoring up that line, though, tbh. We said the Skinner buyout only makes sense if they spend the money, 5 mil for Zucker will help get there

Understand your reasoning. Yet I think it's simply getting what they can to win now with little to no thought beyond that. Adams is currently here for another year at best unless they improve.

The 3rd line isn't the issue here in my view.  That's not the 2nd line of a playoff team unless at least 2 of those three take huge steps forward.

To be fair our lack of secondary scoring and third line that also killed us last year.  I want the top 6 upgraded also but needed to change what were icing in the middle of that lineup
