But, like, for reals .... how are so many UFAs already accounted for? What are the REAL rules around this??? I get the extensions / people staying with a current team. But how, oh how! can UFAs already have anticipated deals in place???

Stephenson comes with risk to be sure.  I want him as an overpaid 3rd line centre without a NMC.  In Vegas this year I think he was miscast as a 1st line player for much of the year due to Eichel, Karlsson and Stone missing a combined 50+ games.

Damn, scoured the internet - which is bursting with reports of already done deals and teams in the mix - no sign of blue and gold anywhere.

I mean Eric (Mrs) Robinson to Carolina is even out there.

My expectation meter is set for Girgs 1 year at $3.3M, a Bob Corkum PTO and a report late in the day that Dustin Tokarski’s agent butt-dialed Adams by mistake.
