#freejame Posted June 30 Report Share Posted June 30 Over the course of ten plus years, Jeff Skinner has gone from one of least favorite players in the entire league to being my “favorite” Sabre. I get why people are ready to move on, but for me the ride has taught me a lot about change and growth. All the best to him. It took me over a season to christen a “favorite” player after Reinhart left. It will probably take me a similarly long amount of time this go around. If Krebs puts up 40 points this year, something tells me it’ll be him. But if Ruff thought he couldn't get Skinner to buy into the system, and it sure does look that way, then you get him off the team to have everyone pulling in the same direction. They expect they'll be better off without him in the long run. And if they do bring in Kane & say Eriksson Ek tomorrow, they're in a better space than they were. If Adams doesn't use the cap saving, this move was trash.
