I love Jeff’s enthusiasm for the game and his skating style. Wish that one really good year was more the norm.

Me Three Months Ago: That’s a hell of a deal on Jeff Skinner Goathead Jerseys, My Sons will love them.

Me Today: Still a hell of a deal for the Jersey

Skinner was always a great guy

I'll always wonder however if he truly cared about winning games and making the playoffs as a whole. I'll never doubt his compete and skill but it sometimes felt as if he never felt angry upon missing the playoffs or losing a game.

Good luck in Toronto

Imagine the leafs trading away Marner and sign skinner , who lights it up all regular season     Then comes playoffs and Jeff is never heard from again

This is it in a nut shell.  Easily likable.  Certainly entertaining as a player.  Love his scoring touch.  But that contract was a bad decision.

Marner goes to Vegas and wins a cup.

At least something good came out of today !!!

now they MUST use that money to bring in a legit NHL player or two!

Nothing good came out of this until we actually see who is replacing him.

Skinner is somewhat of a poster boy for the dysfunction of the Pegula era.  Although there are many.

It's going to happen GPY. They lost positive net goal scoring in Skinner, granted, streaky, but they will be signing or trading for those top 6 upgrades everyone's on about. Adams back is against the wall here in my opinion. As the team is today, it won't be after the next 72 hrs or so, and in to the continuing off season. They know what has to be done, the Skinner move is a part of that plan. Let's hope it works this time, although, I do feel a bit at ease with Ruffs voice now in the room.
